Do as before, offering and praising it. From the state of generation, purification, and emptiness in front, visualize vaṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: वं, Romanized Sanskrit: vaṃ, Seed syllable, wind element), etc., as in the self-generation. On its forehead, visualize oṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: ॐ, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, Seed syllable, body), white, etc., blessing the three places. From the hūṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Seed syllable, mind) in the heart, radiate light. Invite the venerable Mañjuśrī, surrounded by the assembly of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, with vajrasamāja (Tibetan, Devanagari: वज्रसमाजा, Romanized Sanskrit: vajrasamāja, Diamond assembly). jaḥ hūṃ vaṃ hoḥ (Tibetan, Devanagari: जः हुं बं होः, Romanized Sanskrit: jaḥ hūṃ vaṃ hoḥ, Invitation, integration, binding, joy) become inseparable. Again, from the light of the heart, invite the five families of initiation deities and their retinues. 'Please, Tathāgatas, bestow the empowerment upon me.' After praying in this way, they recite vajrībhava abhiṣiñca hūṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: वज्रीभव अभिषिञ्च हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: vajrībhava abhiṣiñca hūṃ, Become vajra, empower, hūṃ), and empower with the water of the vase, the body is filled, impurities are cleansed, and the remaining water overflows upwards, visualizing Akṣobhya as the head ornament. Offer with oṃ sarva tathāgata ārya mañjuśrī saparivāra arghaṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: ॐ सर्व तथागत आर्य मंजुश्री सपरिवार अर्घं, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ sarva tathāgata ārya mañjuśrī saparivāra arghaṃ, Om, all tathagatas, noble Manjushri and retinue, water for washing feet) to śabda (Tibetan, Devanagari: शब्द, Romanized Sanskrit: śabda, sound), etc. Praise with whatever praise you know. Offering the torma and making requests, do as before. Since it is related to the generation in front, there is no need to invite guests. Then, have the students bathe. Offer gifts and offerings, and then sit on the seats. The vajra master performs the scattering and gathering of flowers, and then sits down. The master explains the Dharma as appropriate. In particular, that one called Jetari (Victor), through actually accomplishing the noble Mañjuśrī and attaining accomplishment, once, the noble one himself said: 'You will not live more than ten years, so find a worthy disciple and show him my Dharma,' and gave the prophecy. Then, the master, through miraculous powers, circled all directions from the path of the sky, searching for a worthy one, but did not find one. Finally, in the country of Magadha, an old and decrepit cowherd, old and frail, living in poverty, was seen as worthy, so he went there and said: 'Put down this work and enter the door of Dharma.' That one said: 'I am old and have no livelihood, and I am illiterate, so please consider my future life.' Then, the master said: 'There is a way,' and gave this sādhana, and had him practice, and within five days, all the Dharma was naturally understood, and thus he was known as Paṇḍita Mati (Wise Scholar). There, the master gave the empowerment in the mandala of Mañjuśrī, peaceful and wrathful, and gave the secret name 'Sensual Vajra'. The name of the ordained one in Nālandā was known as 'Having the supreme fortune of Bodhi'. Since he was born in Norbulingka, he was also known as Norbulingpa. That master went to the presence of his own master and prostrated. 'I have been taken care of by the master, so I have become learned, but now I am old and cannot explain.' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When he requested that he had no time to practice, the master said, 'You have ten years of life remaining, and my tutelary deity has prophesied that I have eight years left, two of which have passed. I will give you those eight years. In the meantime, benefit beings. Afterward, pray to the tutelary deity, and it may be possible to have a life as long as the sun and moon.' Having said this, he departed to the realm of the Dakinis. Such a master, when practicing the noble Jampal (Manjushri), rays of light emanated from the face of the painted image, illuminating for a long time, and thus he was given the name 'Like the Sun'. Some with wrong views came to harm him, but he transformed into various forms such as elephants, horses, and girls, so they could not recognize him and turned back, hence he was known as 'Having Various Forms'. In his later years, he worked for the benefit of beings in places such as Orgyen (the birthplace of Padmasambhava), and ultimately attained the rainbow body of Vajra. Such a Pandita (scholar) spoke to the younger Norbu Lingpa. He hid the source, who gave it to Panchen Shakya Shri, who gave it to Khro Phu Lotsawa Jampa Pal, from whom it was passed down in succession. To practice the subsequent permission of the venerable White Manjushri, the master's activities of accomplishment, self-generation, offering, and offering of Torma (food offerings) were well completed. The disciple's activity is to offer a Mandala (sacred diagram) as the price for requesting profound subsequent permission. Having offered the Mandala in this way, one should pray. As it says in the 'Gur': 'Whoever does not pray to the master will not have rebirth in that lineage.' How to pray? Kneeling, with palms joined, pray three times with the desire to listen, etc. Therefore, with palms joined, holding flowers, repeat this prayer after me: 'All Buddhas of the three times, and the very essence of the supreme deity, by the kindness of the glorious Lama, please grant me subsequent permission.' Pray three times in this way. Visualize that around the visualized deity in front, the assembly of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas is present like a dense cloud. Then, feel remorse and regret for all the sins you have committed in the past, and resolve not to commit them again even if it costs you your life. Rejoice in the virtues accumulated by all beings in samsara and nirvana in the three times. Make a commitment to meditate on the ultimate Bodhicitta (mind of enlightenment) that is free from the three conceptualizations. Take refuge in the Three Jewels of Vajrayana (Diamond Vehicle) until you attain enlightenment. For the sake of all sentient beings, I shall attain the state of Buddhahood. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
