Rinchen Terdzod (The Great Treasury of Rediscovered Teachings) TD2479 Section of the Renowned Great Fortress, the Sadhana of Lama Longku Tsepakme (Amitayus) from Nyangter and Namka Tukter. Section of the Renowned Great Fortress, the Sadhana of Lama Longku Tsepakme (Amitayus) from Nyangter and Namka Tukter. Om Svasti! Just hearing your name, it dispels all fear of death, Bestowing the supreme bliss of immortality, Supreme deity, after prostrating, I write this wonderful practice. This combines the treasures of Nyang and the Mind Treasure of the Sky Ladder. Here, the empowerment related to the Sadhana of the Great Fortress of Longevity, the practice of the Lama Sambhogakaya Amitayus, has three parts: the arrangement of preparatory materials, the actual method of practice, and the ritual of blessing empowerment. First, the arrangement of materials: On the throne, arrange a complete mandala, in the center draw a four-petaled lotus with colors corresponding to the family of the deity. In the center of the mandala, place on a low table a precious vase filled with the essence of the twenty-five, its neck wrapped with a red silk scarf, covered with a mirror inscribed with mantras in vermilion. On top of that, place a longevity torma sprinkled with spices, shaped like a vase, surrounded by four lotus petals and pills, adorned with sun and moon. To the right and left of these, place longevity pills and longevity wine. Behind, place a longevity arrow. In front, place an offering torma. Surround the perimeter with two waters and offerings of the five senses. Gather the activity vase, vajra, bell, and other materials. Second, the actual method of practice: First, dispel obstacles, set boundaries, and take refuge and generate bodhicitta. Instantly, transform oneself into the Protector Amitayus, with a red-colored body, one face, and two arms. The right hand holds a lotus rosary at the heart, and the left hand holds a white vase filled with nectar in the mudra of equipoise. Seated in the vajra posture, adorned with silk and precious jewels, blazing with the splendor of the major and minor marks. In his heart is a red Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) syllable. From it, rays of light emanate, accomplishing the two benefits, and then converge into Bhrūṃ (藏文:བྷྲཱུྃ,梵文天城体:भ्रूं,梵文罗马拟音:bhrūṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡部隆). The light gathers the essence of all realms and dissolves into the Bhrūṃ syllable. As it melts, it transforms into a square mansion with four doors and steps, marked by a four-petaled lotus in the center. In the center of that, the light rays from the Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) syllable in one's own heart gather the essence of the lotuses of the ten directions and transform into the Hrīḥ (藏文:ཧྲཱིཿ,梵文天城体:ह्रीः,梵文罗马拟音:hrīḥ,汉语字面意思:舍) syllable. As it melts, it transforms into a garland of eight-petaled lotuses on the outside of the four petals. In the center of that, the light rays of the Trāṃ (藏文:ཏྲཱཾ,梵文天城体:त्रं,梵文罗马拟音:traṃ,汉语字面意思:创) syllable, like a bursting bubble, gather the essence of all the jewels of the ten directions and dissolve into the Trāṃ syllable. As it melts, it transforms into an eight-cornered jewel tent on the outside of the eight lotus petals. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the center, oneself dissolves into light and merges into the Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ་) at the heart. From the Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ་) radiate rays of light, gathering the essence of body, speech, and mind of all Buddhas in the ten directions, merging into the Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ་), blazing with the splendor of five-colored light. Again, from this radiate rays of light, all Buddhas in the ten directions transform into Amitāyus (ཚེ་དཔག་ཏུ་མེད་པ།,无量寿佛), merging into the Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ་). This itself is the five-pronged vajra (རྡོ་རྗེ།,金刚杵) of the nature of the five wisdom jewels, with its prongs facing outwards, each of a different color, In the center of the red Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ་) at the core, marked by a green 'Nṛ' (ནྲྀ). Around the outside of the vajra's core, written clockwise in three layers, are: 'Namo Ratna Trayāya From these, arranged in three layers clockwise, blaze the self-sound of the mantra and rays of light. By reciting this mantra once, Rays of light radiate from the Nṛ (ནྲྀ) at the core of the vajra, stimulating the Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ་) and the vajra jewel palace, etc., in successive layers, transforming all appearances and sounds into the form of Amitāyus (ཚེ་དཔག་ཏུ་མེད་པ།,无量寿佛), filling the trichiliocosm like particles of sunlight. Thinking thus, recite: 'Oṃ Vajra Āyuṣe Hūṃ Bhrūṃ Nṛ Jaḥ (ཨཱོྃ་བཛྲ་ཨཱ་ཡུ་ཥེ་ཧཱུྃ་བྷྲཱུྃ་ནྲྀ་ཛ༔,梵文:Oṃ Vajra Āyuṣe Hūṃ Bhrūṃ Nṛ Jaḥ,嗡,金刚寿,吽,部隆,nri,匝)'. Again, as before, rays of light radiate from the Nṛ (ནྲྀ), cutting off all obstacles to life, gathering all the life essence of the animate and inanimate world, dissolving into the Nṛ (ནྲྀ), thinking of it as radiant and glorious, and then recite the mantra. Completion Stage: All animate and inanimate things dissolve into the palace, the palace into the jewel tent, the jewel tent into the three layers of mantra, the mantra into the vajra, the vajra into the Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ་), the Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ་) into the Nṛ (ནྲྀ), and finally, all gather into the center, and one meditates on the meaning of the unborn, empty-clear, immortal, and intrinsic state. One contemplates the meaning of the unborn, intrinsic state. Thus, the yogi of the four sessions, If one can sustain ten sessions, one will achieve the merit of a hundred sessions, and be reborn in Sukhāvatī (བདེ་བ་ཅན།,极乐世界).’ As it is said. Third, the ritual of empowerment through blessing: With the arrangement of implements as previously described. In the root text, it says: 'Having matured oneself, for the sake of others with compassion, bestow the stages of life empowerment in this way.' Since the blessing of the offering substances precedes, first, the generation of the front visualization: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
