Rinchen Terdzod (The Great Treasury of Rediscovered Teachings) TD2443, a part of the profound Great Perfection Three Sections, the Heart Drop of the Lord of Secrets. Secret Lord Heart Drop, Treasure Text. A part of the profound Great Perfection Three Sections, the Heart Drop of the Lord of Secrets. Secret Lord Heart Drop, Treasure Text. ༁ྃ (Auspicious words)! A part of the profound Great Perfection Three Sections, the Heart Drop of the Lord of Secrets. I prostrate to the Vajra Mind of all Buddhas, the Lord of Secrets (Vajrapāṇi)! This profound heart drop of his is taught to those who are fortunate. Samaya (samaya, vow)! Ga (ga, increase)! All vehicles are distinguished by the order of their views. All the words of the Buddhas, although determined to be the Great Vehicle, become countless vehicles due to the differences in their individual thoughts. Samaya (samaya, vow)! In short, there are nine vehicles: the three classes of gods, humans, śrāvakas, pratyekabuddhas, and bodhisattvas, which are explained as the characteristic cause vehicle. The Kriyā Tantra, Caryā Tantra, and Yoga Tantra, the ascetic, mantra-reciting outsiders, and the two Anuttarayoga and Atiyoga, are the inner common mantra vehicles. In particular, the profound Vajra Essence is the pinnacle of all vehicles. The Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of all directions and times are the compilers of the teachings, the lords of the three families (Avalokiteśvara, Mañjuśrī, Vajrapāṇi). They are also gathered in the bindu of the mind. Samaya (samaya, vow)! First, as a preliminary to the three characteristic sections, the gods and humans, visualizing the Three Jewels in front, rely on them with one mind, and meditate without separation at all times. No fear can shake them. Focusing the mind on the support in front, without distraction elsewhere, cultivate śamatha (calm abiding). When experiences of bliss, clarity, and non-thought arise, worldly samādhi is accomplished. Samaya (samaya, vow)! The śrāvaka, at the bindu between his eyebrows, meditates on a skeleton as a bone bindu. He trains in the appearance of ugliness. He proves with scripture and reason that the pudgala (pudgala, self) bound in saṃsāra does not exist. He uproots the root of saṃsāra. Samaya (samaya, vow)! The pratyekabuddha, at the bindu between his eyebrows, from one to twelve, gradually trains in the appearance of the images of dependent origination. By meditating on the arising and ceasing, all phenomena appear as the nature of dependent origination. Except for indivisible consciousness, by realizing the selflessness of phenomena, he cuts off the root of saṃsāra from its source. Samaya (samaya, vow)! The bodhisattva, from the bindu at the tip of his nose, by expanding and contracting, generates great compassion. All phenomena are of the nature of selflessness, and by means of the ultimate truth and the conventional truth, he reaches the end of the ten bhūmis. Samaya (samaya, vow)! The Kriyā (Action Tantra), at the bindu of the three places (body, speech, and mind), diligently practices the yoga of cessation, and all phenomena are free from the four extremes of elaboration. By extensively practicing the six methods, etc., he understands the meaning of the three family lords (Avalokiteśvara, Mañjuśrī, Vajrapāṇi). --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
