From the Great Treasure of the Sky Dharma TD2209: A concise empowerment practice and explanation of the empowerment of the Ten Abiding Ones of Shakyamuni. Activities for the Flourishing of the Teachings: Abode Empowerment. Homage to Guru Shakyamuni Sarva Sangha Siddhi Hum! The Empowerment Practice of the Ten Abiding Ones from the Sky Dharma: Superior: A mandala is drawn on a painted thangka. Intermediate: A circle is drawn on paper, with an eighteen-petaled lotus in the center. The deities are drawn on the lotus in their respective colors, and the Four Great Kings are placed in the four directions. In the concise practice, the deities gather on top of the mandala. Vases and offerings are arranged as usual. The empowerment torma is made according to the illustration, or a Shakyamuni tsakli (small Buddha image) is placed on top of the lotus petals of a round torma. Self and front, the vase deity and the torma deity, are generated simultaneously through a single visualization. Self-generation is as the main deity and retinue. Namo! I take refuge in the Three Jewels and the Three Roots, and all places of refuge! In order to establish all beings in Buddhahood, I generate the supreme Bodhicitta! May all beings have happiness, be free from suffering, never be separated from happiness, and abide in equanimity! From the primordial pure Dharmadhatu, clouds of offerings filling the sky and earth are emanated, as well as mandalas, the seven royal emblems, goddesses, etc. May they become inexhaustible offerings! Pūja hoḥ! Oṃ svabhāva śuddhaḥ sarva dharmāḥ svabhāva śuddho'haṃ (Purification Mantra) All phenomena are unattached, transformed into emptiness. From emptiness, a jeweled palace arises, with four sides, four doors, stairs, etc. The mandala is complete with all characteristics. In the center are the Eight Sugata Stupas, surrounded by a vajra fence and flames. On the central eighteen-petaled lotus and sun-moon cushion, self and front are vases with complete forms. At the top of the torma is the lord of the teachings, his body the color of a golden mountain, one face, two hands, the right hand touching the earth, the left hand in meditative equipoise, radiating light, wearing the three Dharma robes, complete with the attire of a perfect Buddha, seated on a lotus, sun, moon, and lion throne. To his right is Śāriputra, his body beautiful like a golden mountain, the right hand holding a khakkhara (staff), the left hand holding a bowl, wearing the three Dharma robes. To his left is Maudgalyāyana, his body resembling a golden mountain, holding a khakkhara and a bowl in his right and left hands, wearing the three Dharma robes. In front are the Sixteen Arhats surrounding Shakya King, each with their abode and retinue. In the four directions are the Four Great Kings: Dhṛtarāṣṭra in the east, Virūḍhaka in the south, Virūpākṣa in the west, and Vaiśravaṇa in the north. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thus visualizing, light radiates from the letters of the three places of origin, from each of their supreme abodes, emanations upon emanations appear immeasurably, like rain falling into the ocean, dissolving into us and those before us, completing the empowerment of the five wisdoms.
