The Nectar Essence, a Beneficial Instruction for Crops, from the Great Treasure Trove TD2194. Various activities for the flourishing of crops. Beneficial. Homage to the Lama and the Three Family Protectors (Avalokiteśvara, Mañjuśrī, Vajrapāṇi). Go to a lake or spring where the dragons are known to reside, at a time when the water element meets and the constellations are auspicious, and perform bathing and cleansing with great care. Then, with the good intention of causing rain to fall, fill a clean silver or clay vase with dragon medicine and milk, adorn it with a dragon tree branch, and arrange offerings and tormas in front of it. Take refuge and generate bodhicitta three times with ‘In the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, I take refuge.’ Meditate on the four immeasurables with ‘May all sentient beings have happiness.’ Svabhava etc. From emptiness, instantly transform yourself into the noble Avalokiteśvara, whose right hand bestows the supreme gift, causing a stream of nectar to fall, and whose left hand holds a white lotus in the mudra of refuge. To the right is the noble Mañjuśrī, brandishing a sword in his right hand and holding a scripture at his heart in his left. To the left is Vajrapāṇi, holding a vajra to his heart in his right hand and resting a bell on his hip in his left. All three are white and radiant, peaceful and smiling, adorned with all silk and jewel ornaments, and standing on a lotus and moon cushion in an equal stance. In the heart of each, in the center of a moon mandala, is the heart seed syllable hrīḥ, dhīḥ, hūṃ, surrounded by a garland of mantras, radiating inconceivable white light. Offer to the noble ones, benefit sentient beings. Touching all the hosts of beings, especially the nagas and earth lords, pacify their harm and malice, and may they be endowed with benefit, happiness, and the mind of enlightenment. Recite Oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ a thousand times, Oṃ vāgīśvara muṃ, and Oṃ vajrapāṇi hūṃ three hundred times, etc. Pray that the noble Three Family Protectors will cause rain to fall in season, without ceasing, and bless medicine, forests, crops, and grains to be abundant and perfect. Pray in this way. Then, bless the vase in front of you. Purify with amrita, purify with svabhāva. From emptiness, the vase transforms into a delightful and pleasing dragon palace, and the substances in the vase transform into the white letter phuḥ, radiating immeasurable white light, pervading all realms, and those dwelling therein... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Invoking the life essence of all Naga clans, dissolving into PHUḤ (Seed Syllable, Devanagari: फुः, Romanized Sanskrit: phuḥ, Literal Meaning: Phu). From this complete transformation arises the White Naga, as white and radiant as the sun rising over a snow mountain, emitting rays of light, peaceful and smiling, with a respectful demeanor. One face, two arms, possessing a crown of nine snake heads, adorned with a wish-fulfilling jewel. The two hands are joined in prayer at the heart, holding a precious jewel between them. The upper body has the appearance of a deity, while the lower body is a coiled snake tail. Surrounded by hundreds of similar attendants, as well as countless Nagas and earth spirits. Visualize oneself as the Three Family Protectors (Avalokiteśvara, Mañjuśrī, Vajrapāṇi), from the seed syllable and mantra at the heart emanates immeasurable nectar, as white as moonlight, with a cool touch. Touching the Nagas and earth spirits and their retinues, stimulating their mindstreams. The snake tails stir the ocean, causing violent waves to surge. The earth, space, and sky are filled with mist and dark clouds, red lightning flashes, and thunder roars. From the pores also emanate vapors of nectar, transforming into mist. All of these transform into immeasurable rain, pouring down with a roaring sound, nourishing all the flowers, plants, and trees, causing them to flourish. At the end of the Three Family Protector's heart mantra, add: Oṃ Nāga Kāla Hūṃ, Nāga Le Le, Duṃpa Le Le, Nāga Rāja Hūṃ Phaṭ. Recite this a thousand times. Then add: Bhari Śāya, Pratāya, Descend Fiercely. Nāga Rāja Phroṃ Phroṃ Hril Hril Śar Śar Descend. Descend Fiercely, Descend Quickly. Recite this three hundred times. At this time, visualize the Nagas uttering the mantra with a roaring sound. Maintain silence, be extremely cautious. After completing the recitation, offer Naga Torma to the best of your ability. Confess any shortcomings in offerings and other faults. Nāga Rāja Saparivāra Gaccha, request the Nagas and earth spirits to return to their respective abodes. Visualize the substances in the vase transforming into nectar that can cure Naga diseases and fulfill wishes. Sprinkle it on springs and Naga dwellings, etc., without spilling it in unclean places. In all session breaks, oneself or others should perform incense offerings and golden libation offerings. Offer many Naga Tormas, bury Naga treasures, and recite the Mahāmegha Sutra and the Sampang Kong Sutra, etc. In particular, the visualization and recitation for gathering clouds is: Visualize oneself as Avalokiteśvara, instantly transforming into a large and majestic turquoise dragon. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
