Light it on a clean base, offer it with incense, golden drink, white three and sweet three, and say this: 'O! Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, all the planets and stars, the earth lords of the year, and also all the gods from which the fundamental principles arise, like stars scattered everywhere. Today, please come to this harmonious place. By the blessings of the noble Manjushri (妙吉祥), and by the power of truth of the mantra holder, may the light of the sun and moon of existence, in a bowl made of five precious jewels, be filled with the essence of strength. May the seedling of the wish-fulfilling tree be planted, and may the rays of the jewel dispel all the darkness of existence, increasing strength and power. Such a special offering, I, the mantra holder, offer. Its meaning is for the benefit of the benefactor, its action is to increase the glory and fortune of the body. Furthermore, there is an ocean of white three drinks, and sweet three foods as large as Mount Meru (须弥山). I offer and praise the assembly of gods, please partake and enjoy these offerings. Please consider and care for us and the benefactor, pacify the diseases of the body, and increase strength and fortune. The body of the tree is nourished by water, may the lineage be longer than water. The body of fire is nourished by wood, may the radiance grow like a tree. The body of earth is nourished by fire, may the majesty blaze like fire. The body of iron is nourished by earth, may the life force be as stable as earth. The body of water is nourished by iron, may the strength be as sharp as iron. May all the decline of body and life be pacified, rise from old age and decay, be liberated from the straits of disease and harm, increase strength, youth, and courage. Please grant auspiciousness and well-being! Gods be victorious!' After praying in this way, place the butter lamp in the hands of the benefactor, and enjoy the feast of white three and sweet three. The benefactor should also place the butter lamps in front of the Three Jewels (Buddha, Dharma, Sangha), or light them in a clean, windless room. Afterwards, make tsa-tsas (small clay images), repair the earth lords, recite the dharani of the noble Vasudhara (财续佛母) and perform empowerment. If the benefactor is ill, change the body (referring to a ritual), wear new clothes, and give a new auspicious name. By doing so, the decline of the body will be pacified, old diseases will be cured, new diseases will not arise, old age will be restored to youth, and all good qualities such as strength, ability, and majesty will be fully possessed, overwhelming the crowd, will be accomplished. The Do-tha (ritual) and key instructions for increasing the body are completed here. Mangalam (吉祥)! Mangalam!
