Offerings to the messengers of Mara Raja. Listen, assembly of the Lord of Death, Yama! Along with the guardians of the directions and the eight classes of beings! Once sent away, do not return! May we, along with our retinue, Be free from the fear of disease, evil spirits, and death, And all frustrations and misfortunes, May this (misfortune) be directed towards the enemies who destroy the Dharma! Directed towards the demonic forces and obstacles of the dark side! Grind the enemies and obstacles into dust! Let them be completely destroyed, without a trace! Sarva Shatrun Vighnan Maraya Bhyo Bhyo Zlog Zlog! Reciting these, discard the effigies in a desolate place to the south. Throw the tormas into the fire offering and clap your hands. (Sixth, examining the omens:) If it is important, is there a statue of the main deity? Holding the offering torma or torma, recite: Hum! (藏文:ཧཱུྃ༔) By the unfailing blessing of the Lama and the Three Jewels, And by the truth of Manjushri Kumara, May the signs of averting death today, Manifest and be truly accomplished! Om Yamantaka Hum Phet! (藏文:ཨོཾ་ཡ་མཱནྟ་ཀ་ཧཱུྃ་ཕཊ༔) Recite and throw it upwards three times. If the face of the deity is turned away, or the tip of the torma is not facing you, it is a definite sign of averting death. The details of these rituals will be explained later. Seventh, subsequent rituals: Throw the torma with the praise and invocation of the Yidam, then visualize the subsequent protection wheel. After returning, offer to the Tenma (藏文:བརྟན་མ་), perform the horse dance, return indoors and recite the longevity dharani (藏文:ཚེ་གཟུངས་). The subsequent rituals should be performed according to the text of the ritual. Fifth, supplementary explanations are divided into two parts: examining omens and benefits, and the method of abbreviated rituals. First, explaining the benefits from the perspective of examining omens: If the face of the deity is turned away, it is a definite sign of averting death. If it is sometimes turned away and sometimes turned towards you, it is moderate, and efforts should be made to perform the ritual. If all three times it is turned towards you, then purification is necessary, and the ritual should be performed again. If it still turns towards you, then the time of death has arrived, and it is difficult to avoid. However, through the averting of this ritual, there is nothing that cannot be averted. Thus it is said. Second, the method of abbreviated rituals: If any kind of deity generation has been completed before, or if the ritual of the Three Roots has been completed, that would be excellent. Prepare offerings, effigies, and the patient's effigy, one hundred and eight small mud balls, various foods, and a little milk. First, inviting the guests: Namo! (藏文:ན་མོ༔) With the blessing of the root Lama, And the perfect and complete Buddha, the chief of the two-legged, The peaceful and detached sacred Dharma, And the power and might of the supreme Sangha of noble beings, For the benefactor and patron, Stealing life and longevity, And killing, stealing essence, and the Lord of Death, All the evil spirits, obstacles, and hosts of demons, Inviting them to come and enjoy the offerings, Generating a peaceful and compassionate mind, Please quickly descend to this place! Sarva Loka Vighnan Akarshaya Ja Ja! (藏文:སརྦ་ལོ་ཀ་བིགྷྣཱན་ཨཱ་ཀརྵ་ཡ་ཛ་ཛ༔,梵文天城体:सर्व लोक विघ्नान् आकर्षय ज ज,梵文罗马拟音:sarva loka vighnān ākarṣaya ja ja,Literal Chinese meaning: Attract all worldly obstacles, come! come!) Thus inviting, then make offerings. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bless as the ritual dictates, offer sacrifices with one hundred and eight portions, abandon actions such as writing names, and focus on visualization. After reciting the six-syllable mantra and performing the six mudras, offer the ransom. Send the ransom to a desolate village in the south, recite mantras and verses such as 'Whatever beings,' make aspirations, and cultivate compassion, and the purpose will be accomplished. Lama Smra Ba'i Senge took from the ocean of the Manjushri Tantra ( 'Jam Dpal rGyud Sde), the treasure of essential instructions, and left it for the benefit of father and son. Padma, again with a face adorned with a million rays of light, illuminates this time, becoming the glory of beings. May it destroy the darkness of the Lord of Death! ' This was written by Chokgyur Lingpa, which can be read from the treasure text, may it become the cause of liberating all beings from the noose of the Lord of Death. Bless according to the ritual, offer sacrifices with a hundred and eight portions, abandon the act of writing names, and focus wholeheartedly on visualization. After the six-syllable mantra and the six mudras, offer the ransom. Send the ransom to a desolate village in the south, recite mantras and verses such as 'Whatever beings,' make vows, and cultivate compassion, then all things will be accomplished. Lama Speech Lion once said, from the ocean-like vastness of the Manjushri Tantra, extract the precious treasure of essential oral instructions, and leave it for the benefit of father and son. The face of Padmasambhava, again emitting ten thousand rays of light, illuminates the present age, transforming into the well-being of all beings. May this light destroy the darkness of the Lord of Death! This passage was extracted by Chokgyur Lingpa from the treasure scriptures and can be recited, may it become the cause of liberating all beings from the bonds of the Lord of Death. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
