Shadows of the earth, shadows of the five poisons of attachment within, shadows of obstacles and delusions in between, secrets trapped by ignorance, shadows as deep and vast as the ocean, shadows of harsh behavior, shadows of desire and hatred, shadows of self-praise and disparagement of others, shadows of clinging and welcoming, shadows of impartial desire, shadows of pretending to know what one does not, shadows of vows, expectations, and attachments, shadows of empty talk, shadows of misunderstanding, wrong understanding, and biased understanding. Shadows of clinging to words and abandoning the Dharma, shadows of broken vows and sinners, all kinds of shadows such as divination and fortune-telling, may they all be purified, may there be auspiciousness! Kinds of grudges, grudges against the Lama (spiritual teacher), the Three Jewels (Buddha, Dharma, Sangha), grudges against the Dharma-performing master, Vajra sisters, Dharma friends, teacher and student, friends, grudges against parents, siblings, relatives, grudges against villagers and neighbors, grudges against gods, grudges against nāgas (serpent deities), grudges against the eight classes of gods and demons, falling into grudges, mixing behaviors, etc., may all kinds of grudges be purified, may there be auspiciousness! Kinds of impurities, lepers, widows, sinners, butchers, defilement, dirt, bhikṣuṇīs (Buddhist nuns), unclean rooms, clothes and cushions, utensils, supports, corpse filth, etc., may all kinds of impurities be purified, may there be auspiciousness! Internal adverse conditions such as obstructing the practice of the sacred Dharma, obstructing liberation and omniscience, obstructing good intentions and life, also such as associating with those who have broken vows, mixing food, clothing, and behavior, shadows of places, shadows of cushions, shadows of filth, shadows of corpses, twenty-four thousand kinds of adverse conditions, three hundred and sixty kinds of demons, eighty-one sudden disasters, eighteen kinds of untimely death, etc., may they all be purified, may there be auspiciousness! Shāntiṃ Kuru Svāhā. Hūṃ Prama Ya Hūṃ. And, Oṃ Bhurkuṃ Mahā Pramāṇaye Bhurtse Bhurki Vimala Utsuṣma Krodha Hūṃ Phaṭ.
