If one meditates with attachment, one will fall into the realm of the Rakshasas of Yama (Lord of Death). Freedom from attachment is like the moon in water, a rainbow. Merely meditating on the radiance of awareness is the teaching of Guru Padmasambhava. I have written down the unmistaken practice experience. Fortunate and karmically blessed disciples, please practice in this way. In a solitary mountain retreat, visualize yourself as clear as a green leaf. At the heart, above the unborn sun, abide. In unobstructed awareness, inscribe the syllable 'pam' (Tibetan: པཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: प, Sanskrit Romanization: pam, seed syllable, meaning emptiness). From the self-arisen mantra garland, like green light, red rays of light revolve like sparks. Visualize the deity in front, identical to yourself, and strike its heart with the light. Arouse the mind of the deity in front, and from the mantra in the deity's heart, radiate light. Make offerings to all the Buddhas of the ten directions. All the blessings and power of the Buddhas, gather as light and dissolve into the deity in front. When inhaling, the rays of light gather and dissolve into yourself. When exhaling, the light radiates to the deity in front, arousing its mind. When inhaling, gather the blessings and siddhis into yourself. Thus, focus on the emission and absorption of breath, on the radiation and gathering of light. Do the same for vase breathing. Visualize the deities of the vase breathing descending nectar from the pores, filling the vase. Again, visualize the deities of the vase breathing dissolving into light, like ice melting into water. The water in the vase and the deities mix without separation, transforming into an ocean of nectar, becoming the essence of a medicinal tree that heals the diseases of all beings. Rest in the state beyond expression. At the end of the session, request the deities of the mandala of Jetsun Shawa Ripawa to remain until the ritual of dismissal is performed. Request them to remain and be the protector, refuge, and supreme companion for all sentient beings. Pray for the fulfillment of all desires. Recite Āli Kālī (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, literal meaning), the Hundred Syllable Mantra, and the mantra of dependent origination, etc. Then receive the four empowerments. The text says to follow the general order of collection. Dedication and aspiration: Homage! May the power of the Vajra Body of Jetsun Shawa Ripawa, clear as the moon in water, pacify the delusion of self-grasping in all beings, and may I accomplish the Vajra Body in this life. May the power of the clear and unobstructed deity and mantra, eliminate the delusion of grasping at sounds, and may I accomplish the unobstructed Vajra Speech. By meditating on this boundless and uncontaminated samadhi, may the delusion of ignorance and sudden defilements be eliminated, and may I accomplish the unerring Vajra Mind. May the merit of this generation stage, completion stage, and mantra recitation bring happiness to beings, and may diseases, famine, and conflicts be pacified. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(Sarwa Mangalam)!

From the Buddha who completes all at once, may I attain Buddhahood in one lifetime and purify samsara! Again, the order of gathering is: the inexpressible union of the wisdom mother and child of Dharmadhatu, again the mass of light vanishes like a rainbow, leaving the original pervasive state. This contemplation of Jetsun Shavaripa, at the request of the yogi Orgyen Rigdzin of Southern Lhodem, was written by myself, the Dzogchen yogi Dudul Dorje, at Putoe Dechen Tang, and the scribe is Orgyen Tenzung. Om Ah Hum! Self-awareness, primordial purity, Kunsang Dorje Sempa (Samantabhadra Vajrasattva). Unfabricated self-illumination, Garab Dorje. Whatever appears, spontaneously accomplished, Padmasambhava and Tsogyal. From the state of self-awareness, I pray, may I attain the power of no birth and cross the ocean of existence! Drogben Dudul Ling who obtained the power of awareness, Dralwa Norbu whose name is liberation of self-awareness, to the root guru who is non-dual and one, from the state of self-awareness, I pray, may you bless me to attain the great state of non-duality and complete perfection! The essence of appearance, Jetsun Shavaripa, emptiness and clarity, ungrasping self-illuminating Yidam deity, union of the two stages, guru practice with five wisdoms, from the state of five Kayas spontaneously accomplished, I pray, may you bless me to accomplish the two benefits of self and others! By the merit of this union of generation and completion stages, may all sentient beings in the six realms, including myself and others, pacify the chronic diseases of the five poisons of affliction, may beings be happy and connected to the path of enlightenment, may I attain the spontaneously accomplished primordial protector! This prayer of Jetsun Shavaripa, which cures the diseases of the five poisons, at the request of the yogi Orgyen Rigdzin of Southern Lhodem, who felt that a Ritroma prayer was needed to be freed from the diseases of affliction, was written by the treasure revealer Dudul Dorje of the degenerate age, in the pervasive state in the retreat room of Putoe Dechen Tang. The scribe is the monk Damcho Gyatso of the degenerate age. Sarwa Mangalam! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
