Da Bao Fu Zang TD1821, entitled 'The Black Essence Wheel: A Treatment for the Three Afflictions of Plague, Swelling, and Pain'. Guge Qikdriel. Root Text. Homage! The Black Essence Wheel: A Treatment for the Three Afflictions of Plague, Swelling, and Pain. Instructions from Guge Qikdriel. Athi (ཨྠྀ,अथि,athi, auspicious)! To eliminate the diseases of the three poisons, I prostrate with reverence to the Buddhas and their spiritual offspring. I pray that you protect beings afflicted by the diseases of afflictions. Regarding the three afflictions of plague, swelling, and pain, The essential instructions for healing, refined again and again: Healing, protection, external tracing, and cutting—these three, One should understand other methods of healing. There are four methods of protection: Source, essence, substance, and mantra. Protect oneself, others, livestock, and the land. Benefit others through the stages of meditation. Apart from these, the stages of protection, If one seeks them from elsewhere, It is like a dog chasing the tracks of a flying bird. Therefore, one should strive in this. First, regarding the source of this: In Damdro Khar in Guge, a group of children carved a large sand mound. A stone gau (amulet box) appeared, its two halves joined together. It was covered with a lid with an iron ring. One of the strongest children said, 'This is a treasure!' and lifted it from the ring of the lid. Various non-human creatures emerged from the gau. The child holding the lid died. The other children died. Only that child, holding the lid, fled home, and his father asked, 'What wrong have you done? What is this stone for? Where have your friends gone?' The child said, 'We carved a sand mound, and various non-human creatures emerged from under this stone lid; everyone but me died. I fled with this, so I am unharmed. There are many letters and images on this lid stone; look at it.' The father looked at the stone, and there were wheels, images, and many mantras written on it. There were also explanations of benefits. At that time, the whole valley was filled with various plagues, and many people and livestock died. Then, the parents who had lost their children asked the parents whose children were still alive, 'How can we get better?', 'Do you have any special methods to help us?' Then, they showed the wheels, images, and mantras. They wrote the letters in gold or Chinese ink, and gave saffron to the men to wear, and substances that come from the vagina to the women. Having done that, the diseases disappeared like a stream of water being cut off. Therefore, the U-Tsang region... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was given to Pawa Dongom (pa brda sgom la gnang). He gave it to Jowo Sonam De Bar (jo sras bde 'bar la). He gave it to Nyenton Rigongpa (gnyan ston ri gong pa la). He gave it to Gar Gom Wonshe (mgar sgom dbon shes la). He gave it to Sergo Gonpo (se rgod mgon po la). At that time, De Men (de sman) offered one gold zho, one 'sdang glo,' and one 'ras bubs,' and requested the transmission. After that, Lhaje Kongton (lha rje kong ston) requested it. He gave it to Sherab Gon (shes rab mgon). After that, it was transmitted in succession. These are the sources of the lineage. Second, the essence has nine aspects: First, from where did it originate? It originated from Nyan Yul Poma Yakding (gnyan yul pho ma gyag lding). The father was Nyanpo Todnge Gyalwa (gnyan po thod nge rgyal ba), and the mother was a Brahmin Black Woman (bram ze nag mo). From their union, nine Nyanpo Lhokpa brothers (gnyan po lhog pa spun dgu) were born: Nyanchen Yingwa (gnyan chen 'gying ba), Nyanchen Dembu (gnyan chen ldem bu), Lukpa Dzummul (lkug pa 'dzum mul), Raksha Thumpo (rak+Sha thum po), Nakpo Chikchö (nag po chig chod), Nyandol Kyekchikpu (gnyan rdol skyes gcig pu), Nyanchu Karpo (gnyan chud dkar po), Chujin Ngönpo (chu byin sngon po), and Para Gomang (spa ra mgo mang). From them, one hundred and eight Nyan clans (gnyan rigs brgya rtsa brgyad) branched out. From them, millions and billions of Nyan clans (gnyan rigs sa ya 'bum sde yod do) branched out. In summary, there are eighteen Nyan clans, growing like mushrooms, spreading like salt, majestic like peacocks, swift like lightning, devouring like 'mug ma,' piercing like arrows, fleeing like wild animals, staying like peacocks, waiting like wild men, entwining like poisonous snakes, lurking like mice, churning like yogurt, scattering like hailstones, swelling like boils, white like conch shells, red like coral, and two types of bluish-black and dark-black, making eighteen in total. If summarized further, there are five elements: The five elements also rely on the base and the gate. If it occurs in the head, it is a headache; if it occurs in the throat, it is a sore throat; if it occurs in the neck, it is a throat obstruction; if it occurs in the heart and liver, it is upper abdominal pain; if it occurs in the lungs, it is lung heat; if it occurs in the stomach, it is stomach bloating; if it occurs in the legs, it is calf swelling. These are the causes and essence to be protected. Third, the order of substances: There are six good medicines: camphor (ga pur), musk (gla rtsi), civet (gi wam), made into pills by mixing with the juice of guggul (gu gul), and swallowed. Wear the protective wheel around the neck. There are also: 1) Tsendo (btsan dug); 2) Shingkun (shing kun); 3) Musk (gla rtsi); 4) Shudag (shu dag); 5) Muzi (mu zi); 6) Wawa (ba bla); 7) Guggul (gu gul); 8) Dongrö (ldong ros); 9) Shachen (sha chen); 10) Vulture (bya rgod); 11) Damo (sgra mo), Civet (sre mong); 12) Pushu (pu shud); 13) Otter (sram); 14) Soja (so bya); 15) Telo (te lo); 16) Frog (sbal pa); 17) Flesh of leeches (lcong mo), etc.; 18) Horse penis (rta bon); 19) Rock incense (brag spos); 20) Nyentub (gnyan thub), Tiger meat (stag sha); 21) Yungwa (yung ba); 22) Radu (ra dug); 23) Tharnu (thar nu), Queen (btsun mo); 24) Rejag (re lcags), Minister (blon po); 25) Karpo Chigtub (dkar po gcig thub), White Tangphrom (thang phrom dkar po); 26) Kyangdrün (spyang brun), Pig dung (phag brun). --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
