Da Bao Fu Zang TD1715 'The Hundred and Four Rituals - Spontaneous Fulfillment of Wishes' General Outline: The Hundred and Four Da Bao Fu Zang TD1715 'The Hundred and Four Rituals - Spontaneous Fulfillment of Wishes' General Outline: The Hundred and Four Da Bao Fu Zang TD1715 'The Hundred and Four Rituals - Spontaneous Fulfillment of Wishes' Namo Ratna Trayaya (Tibetan, Devanagari, ratnatraya, The Three Jewels) Granting the supreme of benefit and happiness, the precious and rare Three Jewels! With unwavering faith, I respectfully prostrate and make offerings. In order to protect all beings from the fears of the four maras (demons) and others, I briefly compose this ritual of the Hundred and Four. First, prepare and arrange the offerings. Second, the order of the main ritual. Finally, explain the benefits through historical stories. First, clean and purify the place where the ritual will be performed. On the base of the mandala, apply fragrant water. Draw eight large dots as usual, and draw five circles from the center: The center is blue. The first circle is decorated with eight lotus petals. The second circle is white. The third circle is red. The fourth circle is blue. Outside the mandala, draw Shakyamuni Buddha's right hand in the gesture of supreme generosity. In the corresponding position of the Buddha's arm, place a jeweled throne or a low seat, and invite the blessed Buddha image to sit facing the hand gesture. In a copper plate or other container in the center, place grain flour and make a substitute figure equal to the height of the sponsor, adorned with clothes and ornaments. For male substitutes, use tiger skin; for female substitutes, use cow skin. Record the age on a wooden plaque, write the prayer on the back, insert it on the right shoulder, and decorate it with arrows, banners, etc. Surround it with grains, jewels, silk, and other offerings. Except for the thumb, make the forms of the four maras on the tips of the other four fingers with clay or draw them on wooden plaques: The Skandha Mara is yellow, located on the index finger. The Death Mara is black, located on the middle finger. The Klesha Mara is red, located on the ring finger. The Devaputra Mara is white, located on the little finger. On the lotus petals of the mandala, place one hundred tsatsas (small clay stupas) to dispel the Skandha Mara. On the second circle, place one hundred celestial foods to dispel the Devaputra Mara. On the third circle, place one hundred butter lamps to dispel the Klesha Mara. On the fourth circle, place one hundred substitute tormas to dispel the Death Mara. Arrange these offerings in a beautiful circular pattern. The scripture says: 'The gesture of offering and giving is in the right hand, accumulate the objects and offerings of the Hundred and Four, invite the guests at the fingertips, dispel the four maras with radiance.' Arrange them in the above order. In addition, at the end of these offerings, together… --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Various torma offerings and golden libations are also arranged. In front of oneself or in a convenient direction, common offerings to the Three Jewels, water, two uses, five desires, etc., are arranged, as well as scattered flowers and musical instruments, etc. All necessary items are gathered and arranged. Such an arrangement is the way of arranging for the wealthy. For others, fifty or twenty-five items can be arranged, or the number of images reflected in one or three mirrors can be increased to reach a medium of four hundred, i.e., four hundred images. The lowest is to rely on each item to recite one hundred times. This is what they say. Secondly, the order of the main ritual is divided into two parts: the supporting Dharma for increasing power and the main ritual itself. First, invite the Sangha to teach the Dharma, make general offerings to the Three Jewels, and recite the Heart Sutra. Specifically, in conjunction with the specific situation: to prolong life, recite the Sutra of Longevity; to eliminate impurity, recite the Sutra of Eliminating Obscurations; to avert curses, recite the White Umbrella and Black Umbrella; to avert epidemics, recite the Praise to the Mother and the Black Umbrella Ushnisha; to pacify the harm of the earth lords, recite the Naga Confession; for the deceased, recite the Hundred Syllable Mantra of Confession; to restore power, recite the Jambhala and the Norsang mantra; to avert evil stars, recite the Dongten and the Eight Auspicious Ones. In addition, perform the propitiation of Dharma protectors and offer golden libations and tormas to the Eight Classes of Gods and spirits, etc., and complete the ritual of increasing power as much as possible. Secondly, the order of the main ritual is divided into thirteen parts. First, the self-generation: with refuge, generating Bodhicitta, and meditating on the four immeasurables as preliminaries, recite 'Om Svabhava Shuddhah Sarva Dharma Svabhava Shuddho Ham'. From emptiness, in one's heart, on the moon above the A syllable, there is a yellow Hum syllable, whose light fills the entire body, and oneself is transformed into the form of Shakyamuni Buddha. The body color is like pure gold, with one face and two arms, the right hand in the earth-touching mudra, the left hand in the meditation mudra, sitting in the vajra posture, with the appearance of a celibate, complete with the thirty-two major marks and eighty minor marks, wearing the three Dharma robes, radiating immeasurable light. On his forehead is the Om syllable, at his throat is the Ah syllable, and at his heart is the Hum syllable. From the Hum syllable, light radiates, inviting the assembly of wisdom beings, reciting 'Vajra Samaya Jah Jah'. 'Lord, you have great compassion, you are the all-knowing teacher, you are the field of immeasurable merit and virtue, I prostrate to the Tathagata'. Then make offerings from water to sound. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
