(ག བ) To avert shadows, use red and white sandalwood. (ཅ ཙ) To avert epidemics, use Saussurea lappa and Aconitum ferox. (ང མ) To avert eye diseases, use Ligusticum sinense. (ཆ ཚ) To avert weapons, use red lotus. (ཇ ཛ) To avert yakshas, use red powder from a north-facing slate. (ཉ) To avert mamos, write on a crossroads in the dark. (ཏ) To avert female ghosts, use goat dung and madder dregs. (ཐ ད) To avert prosperity and decline, use eyeless grass, conch shells, and cowrie shells. (ན) To avert living ghosts, use ashes of a burnt female corpse. (པ) To avert male ghosts, use ashes of a burnt male corpse, written at a crossroads. (ཝ ཞ) To avert male and female grebos, use ashes of male and female corpses. (ཟ) To avert mountain spirits, use ashes of burnt mountain goat dung. (འ) To avert tsen, use the claws of a sinner, written on a red rock face with a peacock feather pen dipped in peacock blood. (ཡ) To avert planets, use white sandalwood, written near a stupa with a peacock feather pen. (ར) To avert bhutas, together with a land deity. (ལ) To avert kings, use the blood of a white dog and a white bird, written with vulture feathers, and consecrated inside a temple. (ཤ) To avert mamos, write with the blood of a black hen. (ས) To avert damsi, write with the blood of a father killed by his son. (ཧ) To avert pretas, write with cinnabar, or gold powder. (ཨ) To avert shadows, use rock incense. (ཀི) To protect the deity, wrap it with frog and snake skin. (ཁི) To avert earth demons and scorpion demons, use horns and claws. (གི) To avert coughs, use the nose and claws of a live black pig. (ངི) To avert household disturbances, wrap it with the feathers of a speckled hen. (ཅི) To avert male demons, write with crow blood. (ཆི) To avert female demons, write with owl blood. (ཇི) To avert poison, write with musk blood. (ཉི ཏི ཐི) To avert sri, write with female goat wool, skin, and bones. (དི) At the entrance of the protector's shrine, write with white yak, white dog with a red nose, and monkey blood, wrapped with black thread. (ནི) To protect vows, write with the heart blood of a red goat. (པི) To avert enemies, wrap it with yak and dzo wool. (ཕི) To avert curses, write with the heart blood of a paralytic. (བི) For evil deeds, mix with stupa soil. (མི) To avert dogs, write with black horse blood, wrapped with tiger fur. (ཙི) To avert nightmares, apply camphor.
