The Great Treasure of Termas TD1575: 'The Practice of Damdza Rakta, Called the Essence of Accomplishment.' General Section. Rakta (Blood). The Great Treasure of Termas TD1575: 'The Practice of Damdza Rakta, Called the Essence of Accomplishment.' General Section. Rakta (Blood). The Great Treasure of Termas TD1575: 'The Practice of Damdza Rakta, Called the Essence of Accomplishment.' Om Swasti! Unattached Great Bliss, Boundless Light. Humbly I bow to the glorious Lama. The substance of the unattached Vajra's Samaya, I will write the essence of the Rakta practice. This has five parts: Essence, Definition, Division, Source, and Stages of Practice. First, the essence: Whether included in Samsara or Nirvana, if not realized, it is the basis of attachment; if realized, it is determined as the means of detachment. Therefore, it abides in the category of complete distinction. As the Rakta Tantra says: 'The essence of Rakta is attachment.' Second, the definition: Derived from the sound 'Rakta', it refers to the color red. All appearances and existences are divided into white and red, and the red part is determined as the nature of wisdom and emptiness. Therefore, it is called Rakta. As the Rakta Tantra says: 'All are Rakta, therefore it is Rakta.' Third, the divisions: From the perspective of verbal expression, there are five types: Rakta of the basis of existence, Rakta of the cause of Samsara, Rakta of the unchanging lineage, Rakta of the great fruit, and Rakta of the number of substances. The first is: all that belongs to the element of water and the category of water. As it says in the same text: 'The Rakta of the basis is water.' The second, the Rakta of the cause of Samsara, is: the blood of the mother's womb. As it says in the same text: 'The Rakta of the cause is the blood of the Padma (Lotus).' The third, the Rakta of the unchanging lineage, is: the wisdom of individual discernment and the speech Vajra of its essence, abiding in the essence of Amitabha (Boundless Light). As it says in the same text: 'The Rakta of the lineage is Amitabha.' The fourth, the Rakta of the great fruit, is: the heart blood of the three classes of Rudra slain by Palchen (Great Glorious One). As it says in the same text: 'The Rakta of the fruit is the blood of the heart (Citta).' The fifth, the Rakta of the substances, has thirty-five types. As it says in the same text: 'The Rakta of the number is thirty-five.' Furthermore, it is divided into the Rakta of symbolic representation and the Rakta of the meaning represented. The first is divided into four types: root Rakta, unmixed pure Rakta, essence-rich Rakta, and various ordinary Rakta. The first is divided into two types: animate root Rakta and inanimate root Rakta. The first is: the blood of the life force of a corpse that has been cut off by its own life and died after vomiting, and the blood of the life force of a Khading bird. 第四,来源是,从大吉祥饮血黑汝嘎之心间化现之大母巴嘎西日底玛,将所有显有存在轮回涅槃皆视为己有," ], "english_translations": [ "The lifeblood of meat-eaters, the lifeblood of black dogs' lower bodies, the lifeblood of rough oxen's lower bodies, the lifeblood of black horses' penises, etc. In the Tantra of Great Elephant's Joy, it is said: 'The lifeblood of self-dead corpses, the blood of the Dakini Kukkuraja, likewise the blood of elephants and horses, are substances for offering and fulfilling vows, arranged as supports for the accomplishment of speech.'
