It prevents the three poisons of attachment, aversion, and ignorance, as well as the five poisons of earth, water, fire, wind, and space, thereby preventing all paths taken by these poisons. It prevents the fruit of suffering and the suffering that depends on it. In short, abandoning the afflictions on one's own awareness, along with their seeds, into the realm of emptiness, is the wisdom of emptiness, which is the basis of cessation. It is a special truth of cessation, and therefore one attains liberation and nirvana. Therefore, the nature of the truth of suffering is the truth of cessation, and the nature of the truth of origin is the truth of the path. Cessation and the path are inseparable in essence of abandonment and realization. It is also said. For example, relying on food and behavior that cause disease is the origin. Being tormented by the pain of the disease is suffering. Curing with medicine and healthy eating habits is the truth of the path. Recovering from the disease is the truth of cessation. To illustrate, stinginess hindering generosity is the origin. Becoming poor and destitute is suffering. Giving generosity is the truth of the path. Therefore, abandoning the suffering of poverty in the future is the truth of cessation. In this way, one should understand the course of cause and effect. Having first learned diligently the meanings of the things that have been said, one must seek a special refuge in order to accomplish Buddhahood for the sake of all sentient beings. The Three Jewels are free from all faults, perfect in all qualities, and have the power to protect all sentient beings. Therefore, one should rely on them alone, entrusting oneself completely and taking refuge without hesitation, free from hope and fear. Then, taking as a basis the contemplation of the four immeasurable minds, such as compassion, towards limitless sentient beings, one should generate the two aspects of Bodhicitta: the aspiration to attain Buddhahood for the benefit of others, and the path of entering into that realization. The aspiration and the path are called Bodhicitta, and the generation of Bodhicitta can refer to the mental aspiration or the ritual practice. These two minds should be cultivated so that they are inseparable from wisdom, and ultimately the mind is placed in a state where it is inseparable from its root, which is the ultimate Bodhicitta. The way to generate it through ritual is also found in the Tantra of Manifest Enlightenment and in the treatises of the noble Nagarjuna. Therefore, whichever common or special path of the stages of the path one relies on to guide, one should teach according to the teachings of that particular text, in order to accomplish the purpose. Therefore, I will briefly explain it here. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That is all. Therefore, if one does not stray from such key points, practice will become meaningful. So, instead of letting the Dharma become an addition to attachment and aversion, one should strive to practice in order to attain whatever is possible in one's own mindstream. Words of encouragement to accomplish the great benefit of oneself and others. The stainless essence of the scriptures and the oral instructions of the Lama, I have only explained a little, as taught by the Guru, Who could fully express its vast and boundless limits? However, just as taking a drop from a vast reservoir of water, Can also quench thirst, Just knowing the direction of the entrance to the path, One can also gain unwavering confidence in the place of acceptance and rejection. May that wonderful great ship of virtue, Propelled by the wind of altruism, Lead all beings from the great ocean of samsara, To the precious island of liberation. Thus, this treatise called 'A Clear Exposition of the Common Preliminary Practices - The Precious Ladder' was written down by the mediocre Gyurme Dorje (འགྱུར་མེད་རྡོ་རྗེ།) for the sake of easy entry for beginners. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
