If the disciples do not have the conviction of visualizing themselves as deities when giving the powerful empowerment, it is like selling a wild dog to a bad master, and it will not be tamed. You must firmly believe that your nature is the Great Glorious Supreme Heruka (Tibetan: དཔལ་ཆེན་ཆེ་མཆོག་ཧེ་རུ་ཀ་, meaning: Great Glorious Supreme Heruka), and the image is the secret lord, the black Vajrapani (Tibetan: ཕྱག་ན་རྡོ་རྗེ་མཐིང་ནག་, meaning: Black Vajrapani) holding a vajra and a bell, with a clear manifestation and unwavering pride of all the fierce forms of wrathful deities. Write a black Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, literal meaning: seed syllable) in your heart. Give them the vajra and bell, and recite: Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, literal meaning: seed syllable)! Fierce and benevolent one, from now on, you will also transform into the body of Vajrapani.
