Da Bao Fu Zang TD1429, 'The Sadhana of Glorious Protector Legden, A Sheaf of Four Activities'. Concerning Dharma Protectors, Concise Activities. The Sadhana of Glorious Protector Legden, A Sheaf of Four Activities. The Sadhana of Glorious Protector Legden, A Sheaf of Four Activities. Homage to the Lama! Heruka (Heruka) glorious, appearing in wrathful form out of great compassion. The Great Black One who utterly vanquishes the unruly demon armies. Having respectfully bowed to the Lord of the Assembly of Virtues, I will briefly write down the condensed meaning of his sadhana. The mantra practitioner who has received this empowerment and abides by the samaya, at special times such as the twenty-ninth, should gather all the necessary items such as painted images, tormas, and offerings, according to the perceived transmission. Then, precede with the yoga of self-generation. Bless the general offerings, tormas (Torma), and blood offerings (Rakta). Purify the support for the front generation. From emptiness, in the space in front, in a realm churning with blood and fat, in a place where hail of mala ya iron falls, in an extremely terrifying and hair-raising place, in the center of a great charnel ground palace, upon a lotus and sun disc, upon a human corpse and a horse corpse, from Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,hūṃ,seed syllable, meaning to destroy) arises a vajra stake, marked with Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,hūṃ,seed syllable, meaning to destroy), completely transformed. Manifests as the Glorious Wisdom Protector, the Great Black Legden, in the form of a vajra rakshasa, with a dark blue-black body, short and stout with coarse limbs, possessing the splendor of a million suns. One face, two arms, and three eyes, with an open mouth and bared fangs, blood dripping from the corners of his mouth, a curled tongue, uttering fierce roaring sounds, emitting scattering winds from the nostrils of his furrowed brow, three red and round eyes glaring in anger, hair, beard, and eyebrows of brownish-black, blazing upwards, radiating light like great stars. The right hand holds a flaming curved knife, and the left hand holds a skull cup filled with poisonous blood, held at the heart, moving up and down. In the right armpit is clamped a large sandalwood club, from the upper part of the club emanate a million divine soldiers, and from the lower part of the club emanate twenty-one thousand demon soldiers. The body is clad in layers of black silk robes, and the waist is bound with a golden belt adorned with jeweled eyes. The head is adorned with a crown of five dry skulls, and hanging down are fifty wet, bloody skulls and a vajra necklace. The limbs are entwined with snakes, and the body is draped with human skin. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Adorned with terrifying charnel ground attire such as a human skin upper garment, wearing Sakti's long boots, extending the left leg, majestically trampling enemies and obstructors. With a fierce and unruly demeanor, a black Garuda bird flies and hovers above the head. On both shoulders, lions shake their manes. A leaping bear circles the ribs. A tiger leaps from the feet. In the midst of blazing flames of wisdom, he dwells as the master who subdues the three realms and overpowers the three existences. To his left, on a sun disc and a corpse seat, is Yum Krodheshvari Ma (Wrathful自在母), with a blue-black body, one face, two arms, and three eyes. From the midst of her hair, which hangs downwards, sparks of fire emanate. Her upper body is covered with a skin, and the sun, moon, planets, stars, and rainbows intermingle. She wears a tiger skin and a relde (a type of antelope skin) as a lower garment. Adorned with black snake ornaments and a crocodile skull crown. Her right hand holds a snake lasso, and her left holds a skull cup filled with blood, bone marrow, brain, butter, and blood wine, which she enjoys and increases. To his right is the Lord of Karma, with a black body and an unsightly form, his hair standing on end, his right hand holding a curved knife, and his left hand holding a skull cup filled with blood. He extends his left leg and dwells on a corpse seat in a manner of receiving orders. To the east of these deities, from the Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Meaning: Seed Syllable) syllable, emanates the Great Wrathful One Vajrakingkara (Vajra Messenger), with a dark blue-black body, a fierce and wrathful demeanor, one face, and two arms. His right hand whirls a weapon wheel, severing the heads and bodies of those he targets. His left hand holds a skull filled with the enemy's heart blood, which he consumes. He wears a human skin upper garment and a tiger skin lower garment, adorned with snakes and skulls. He is surrounded by the twelve sword-wielding Kingkaras (messengers) and other working, arrogant retinues. To the south, from the Ya (Tibetan: ཡ, Sanskrit Devanagari: य, Sanskrit Romanization: ya, Literal Meaning: Seed Syllable) syllable, emanates the Yaksha Zambala (Wealth God), with a red-black copper color, mouth open, clapping his hands. With angry eyes, he burns the enemy forces, and his red hair is thick like clouds. His right hand brandishes a golden razor, and his left hand holds a rhino spear. His consort, Baidong (Rhino-Faced Mother), has a red-black copper throat, wears rainbow-colored garments, and holds a life-thread and a disease bag. He is surrounded by the four great rhino giants, the four rhino mothers, the forty-two red human butchers, and other working, arrogant retinues. To the west, from the Ja (Tibetan: ཛ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ज, Sanskrit Romanization: ja, Literal Meaning: Seed Syllable) syllable, emanates the Great Planet Demon Rahula (Rahula), with a smoky color, a Rakshasa form, nine heads, a body filled with eyes, and a fierce and terrifying demeanor. His right hand brandishes a curved knife, from the tip of which whirls a wheel of flesh and blood; his left hand sucks human blood and throws a crocodile lasso. His lower body is coiled into a snake, and he possesses the foundation of fields. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
