Performing a ransom ritual will temporarily remove some minor obstacles. If you do not take and protect any vows and commitments, then no matter what you do, it will be in vain. Therefore, it is very important to find a qualified person. A qualified person knows that self-awareness and realization are the supreme support, and whatever is done by visualizing the aggregates and elements as deities will be accomplished. Abiding in vows and commitments will generate the power of truth. Being skilled in ritual practice will please beings. Deviating from these will cause harm in return. Therefore, be sure to diligently examine the lama. The examination of the lama is a cloud of blessings. For the sake of sentient beings in the degenerate age of the future who are controlled by demons, countless longevity practices have been shown. This profound essence of nectar, first of all, is for cherishing the lama, and for the sake of future generations, a brief account of the meaning of the lineage is given. Now it is taught to the twenty-five kings and subjects. When it is close to forty years, life is short, resources are poor, and there is no time to practice the supreme Dharma and die. In order to be helpful at that time, it is buried in the secret holy land of Sikkim, the rainbow Guru cave, completing the practice and the complete Dharma. One lifetime of Padmasambhava's incarnation, the subduer of demons, will appear at this time and benefit beings. The current child, Yidzin Tso, will rule beings with Dharma and justice at that time. Practicing this instruction of mine, may it liberate the three lower realms and become the glory of beings. Protect this teaching, five noble dakinis! Protect this treasure, powerful and arrogant gods! Entrust it to the destined son, steadfast earth goddesses! May the Dharma-possessing person propagate nine sons! Uphold the vows, son who fulfills aspirations! Thus he spoke, and with a strict command, he taught the common secret teachings, including the root and branches, to the twenty-five pure disciples. This longevity practice, along with the water of longevity, was buried in the rock of the Jewel Heart, and vows were made. Trisong Detsen, I wrote this. Samaya. Gya Gya Gya. On the evening of the tenth day of the seventh month of the Dragon year, it was invited out by Lhatsun from Lhari Rinchen Nyingpo. May all be auspicious!
