Established from the yellow scroll personally bestowed upon Kyabje Pema Osel Do-ngak Lingpa by Yeshe Khandro, to increase the benefit and happiness for the teachings and beings, guided by the ripening empowerment of the secret lord Vajra Burning Fire (Sangdak Dorje Me-bar) threefold yoga, etc., begin the offering of the mandala. Join the palms with flowers and repeat this supplication: Secret Lord, I prostrate to you! I desire great liberation, therefore I request the corresponding empowerment and vows. I take refuge in the Protector Hero, please accept me into the Mahayana palace, and grant me wisdom. (Repeat three times) In order to purify the continuum, in front of the inseparable Lama and Secret Lord, visualize the Three Roots (Guru, Yidam, Protector) and the infinite Buddhas surrounding, with the intention of performing the eight-limbed confession in the proper manner, repeat after me: Vajra Master, Buddha Glory! (Repeat three times) Then, in order to establish the basis of empowerment, the wisdom being needs to descend. Therefore, do not let your three doors (body, speech, and mind) be distracted, and focus single-pointedly on this visualization: Recite Om Maha Shunyata (ཨོཾ་མ་ཧཱ་ཤཱུནྱ་ཏཱ་). All phenomena of appearance and existence, grasping and clinging, are unattainable and have become emptiness. Within this emptiness, on the lotus, sun, and male and female arrogant ones' seats in the place where you are, the essence of self-awareness is the blue-black letter HUNG (ཧཱུྃ). Instantly, you all become the Secret Lord Heruka, one face and two arms, the color of the body is like a turbulent blue-black rain cloud, fierce and wrathful, with the demeanor of an angry Yaksha. The right hand holds a vajra, and the left hand holds a lasso in a threatening gesture. Adorned with charnel ground ornaments, standing in a dancing posture in the midst of fiercely blazing kalpa fire. From the upward tip of the vajra, a red-black garuda is emitted, flying in a threatening manner. At the navel, Hayagriva (རྟ་མགྲིན) is red-black, holding a club and throwing a lasso. From the downward tip, the messenger Yaksha Kala (ཡཀྴ་ཀཱ་ལ) emanates, holding an iron hook and lasso, as a fierce red whirlwind. All of these appear wrathful and fierce, with unbearable splendor. The three places (body, speech, and mind) are marked with the letters OM (ཨོཾ), AH (ཨཱཿ), and HUNG (ཧཱུྃ). From the heart of the master, also radiate hook-like rays of light filling the sky, stimulating the heart streams of the Three Roots and infinite Buddhas residing throughout space. All of these manifest as the body, speech, and mind mudras of the Secret Lord Heruka, in the form of letters and symbols, descending like a great rain, merging into you all. With the joy of incense and musical instruments, recite the invocation. After reciting the mantra of supplication and practice, add 'Jnana Vajra Aveshaya Ah Ah' (Wisdom Vajra, descend, Ah Ah). Recite 'Tistha Vajra' (Stay Vajra), to stabilize it. Through these steps, the preliminary practices for empowerment are completed. Next is the main practice, performing the vase empowerment, which is divided into three stages: generating splendor, and stabilizing blessings. First, make this aspiration: In the self-arisen, spontaneously accomplished palace, which is the excellent vase, the mandala of the Lord of Secrets (Guhyapati) transforms into the essence of Vajra nectar. With its continuous blessings, wash away and destroy all your conceptualizations, obscurations, and habitual tendencies, and may the power of body and wisdom be infused and dwell in your continuum. Empower with the vase, reciting: Hum! In the palace of the self-arisen, spontaneously accomplished vase, the fierce Vajra flaming deities reside. With the light-dissolving Vajra nectar, empower, may the blessings and power of body and wisdom be perfected! At the end of the mantra, add Vajra Kala Sha Hum Om Tram Hrih Ah Abhisinca Mi (Vajra, Time, Sha, Hum, Om, Tram, Hrih, Ah, I empower). Second, generate splendor through the deity's mantra and wisdom mudra, first for the body mudra empowerment. From the main deity and retinue of the deity mandala, emanate a second wisdom deity, which dissolves into the deity you are visualizing, transforming it into its respective wisdom mudra. Empower with the body chakras in sequence, reciting: Hum! Lord of all Buddhas, Vajra Wrathful One, empower the fortunate disciples, cutting off all evil in the three realms, may you attain the wisdom body of the Lord of Secrets! Vajra Canda Kaya Abhisinca Om (Vajra, Fierce, Body, Empower, Om). Khrom! Wisdom emanation, the Garuda, empower the fortunate disciples, cutting off the evil of the Nagas, may you attain the wisdom body of the Great Garuda! Garuda Kaya Abhisinca Om (Garuda, Body, Empower, Om). Hrih! Wrathful King, powerful Hayagriva, empower the fortunate disciples, cutting off the evil of the Gyalpo spirits, may you attain the wisdom body of great power! Hayagriva Kaya Abhisinca Om (Hayagriva, Body, Empower, Om). Hum! Action deity, powerful Yaksha Kala, empower the fortunate disciples, cutting off the evil of enemies and obstacles, may you attain the wisdom body of Yaksha!
