Da Bao Fu Zang TD1060: 'Profound Essence of the Combined Oral Transmission Yang Phur, Practice of Empowerment, Bestowing the Essence of Accomplishment of Two Benefits' Oral Transmission Yang Phur Combined. Empowerment Ritual. Homage to the glorious Guru Heruka). Self-luminous awareness, great sovereign, Playing with experiences in samsara and nirvana, I bow to the dancer, And expound the profound Dharma for the fortunate. Now, through this empowerment of the true heart essence, to take fortunate disciples under my care, there are three steps: preliminary preparation practice, actual practice of offering and empowerment, and the concluding ritual. First, in the center of the altar, place a standard wrathful Vajrakilaya (藏文:སྒྲུབ་ཕུར) adorned with a dark blue silk crest, and on it set up a mandala, placing thirty-five vases filled with nectar, their necks tied with dark blue silk and adorned with various decorations; on the right, place a skull cup filled with a mixture of alcohol, three sweets, and Dharma medicine; also place a consort effigy (藏文:རིག་ཙཀ), an activity vase (藏文:ལས་བུམ), a long-life arrow (藏文:ཚེ་འབྲང་), long-life pills (藏文:ཚེ་རིལ), long-life alcohol (藏文:ཚེ་ཆང་), and arrow banners (藏文:མདའ་དར), arranging them as convenient; in front, offer tormas (藏文:གཏོར་མ) and blood offerings (藏文:རཀྟ), and around them, arrange offering water and two types of offerings (藏文:ཉེར་སྤྱོད) clockwise. Prepare the implements for wrathful empowerment: an activity kila (藏文:ལས་ཕུར), objects for expulsion, an owl feather (藏文:བྱ་འུག་སྒྲོ), white mustard seeds (藏文:ཡུངས་དཀར), a curse rope (藏文:བྱད་ཐག), poison blood (藏文:དུག་ཁྲག), a Tara chopper (藏文:སྒྲོལ་གྲི), a mallet (藏文:ཐོ་བ), a homa ladle (藏文:ཧོམ་གཟར), an iron homa furnace (藏文:ལྕགས་ཧོམ་) with a linga (藏文:ལིངྒ) inside, a golden beverage container (藏文:གསེར་སྐྱེམས་ཆས), and a triangular torma zor (藏文:གཏོར་ཟོར་གྲུ་གསུམ་) decorated with mustard seeds. Place these items as needed, and also prepare the necessary offerings and implements for the activities. Second, enter the main practice, first completing all the activity rituals in full, after the praise, perform self-entry and receive the four empowerments, open the mantra chamber, and recite the mantras of the self-generated deity and the front-generated deity as much as possible. Visualize the vase in the usual way, and recite the rulu mantra (藏文:རུ་ལུའི་བཟླས་པ་) one hundred and eight times. After completing the long-life mantra and the long-life summoning, make offerings and praises, and dissolve the vase deity into oneself. Generate and recite the nectar in the activity vase in the common way, offer tormas to the protectors, and complete the ganachakra, killing, and offering rituals. If the disciple has not received empowerment before, they should throw the wisdom flower; if they have already received it, there is no need to throw it, just allow the disciple to be seated. Third, perform the empowerment: bring the disciple out from bathing, perform the exorcism torma according to the activity ritual, perform the boundary and protection, offer the mandala, and generate refuge and bodhicitta. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Therefore, among the Yidam deities for accomplishing the Siddhi of Mahamudra Great Bliss in one lifetime, there is none more supreme than the Dakini Illusory Samvara (Kha'gro Sgyu ma bDe mChog dPal Yang dag He ru ka). And for subduing hindrances and cutting through obstacles in the practice of this deity, the King of Wrathful Ones Who Tames Mara—Glorious Vajrakumara (bDud 'dul Khro bo'i rGyal po dPal Chen rDo rJe gZhon nu)—is unparalleled. Thus, all the learned and accomplished masters of Tibet and India regard these two, Samvara and Vajrakila (yang phur gnyis), as their heart practice, as famous as the sun and moon. The Second Buddha, Padmasambhava (Padma Thod phreng rTsal), also demonstrated the means of accomplishing the supreme Siddhi of Mahamudra through the Samadhi of the Nine Deities of Great Power (dPal Chen yang dag lha dgu) in Yangleshö, Nepal (Bal yul yang le shod), within the perception of those to be tamed. When various harms from demonic forces created obstacles, merely inviting the Dharma cycle of Vajrakila from India and arriving in Nepal naturally pacified all obstacles, demonstrating the manner of realizing the supreme Vidyadhara of Mahamudra. Padmasambhava composed limitless extensive and concise Dharma cycles for the individual and combined practice of Yangdak and Vajrakila. During the time when he illuminated the teachings of the Buddha in Tibet, in response to the supplications of the chief disciples such as the Lord, Subjects, and Friends (rJe 'bangs Grogs gSum), he bestowed immeasurable extensive and concise Dharma cycles suitable to their individual capacities. Considering with compassion the disciples of future generations, he concealed these as various types of treasures. As the karmic connections ripened, various Tertöns, Vidyadharas possessing power (gter ston rig 'dzin rtsal 'chang), successively unearthed them, accomplishing limitless benefit for the teachings and beings. The one that has come to this occasion is: The reincarnation of Dharma King Trisong Detsen (Chos rgyal Khri Lde'i), Prince Lhaje Chokdrub Gyalpo (rGyal sras Lha rJe mChog Grub rGyal po), was prophesied to take thirteen births as a sole Tertön. As prophesied, he was the last of all, the thirteenth. He was the Chakravartin of all the learned and accomplished masters of the Land of Snows, the master of the Seven Commissioned Teachings—Padma Osel Do-ngak Lingpa (Padma 'od gsal mdo sngags gling pa). When he was eight years old, due to harm from elemental spirits, he suffered greatly from excruciating pain in both hands. At that time, the Dakini Yeshe Tsogyal (mkha' 'gro ye shes mtsho rgyal) personally appeared, blessed him, and encouraged him with prophecies. She imparted this Sadhana as an oral transmission, liberating him from the illness and conquering the battle of obstacles. However, since he did not write down the instructions, a long time passed. Later, when he was forty-eight years old, urged by prophecies and other circumstances, he finally recorded it. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
