Sadhana of the Greatly Powerful Wrathful King, Subduer of All Arrogance: First, Homage! To the unborn, meaningful Guru of the Three Kayas, Whose unceasing, self-arising power is inherently self-clear, The unattached, beyond-mind, self-aware, spontaneously accomplished, The ungraspable Three Kayas, by nature, we take refuge. I and limitless sentient beings, Being primordially Buddhas, With the nature of knowing that as it is, Generate the supreme Bodhicitta. Having thus gone for refuge and generated Bodhicitta, in the beginning, in one's own body, at the heart, visualize a red-yellow Raṃ (藏文：རཾ，梵文天城体：रं，梵文罗马拟音：raṃ，fire seed syllable) upon a solar disc. In its center, one's own awareness as a red-yellow Hrīḥ (藏文：ཧྲཱིཿ，梵文天城体：ह्रीः，梵文罗马拟音：hrīḥ，lotus family seed syllable) merging into one. From that, red rays of light pervade throughout one's body. Burning away the karmic body, it transforms into a mass of red light. Remaining in that state for a moment, then again: Oṃ śūnyatā jñāna vajra svabhāva ātmako'haṃ (藏文：ཨོཾ་ཤཱུནྱ་ཏཱ་ཛྙཱ་ན་བཛྲ་སྭ་བྷཱ་བ་ཨཱཏྨ་ཀོ྅་ཧཾ，梵文罗马拟音：oṃ śūnyatā jñāna vajra svabhāva ātmako'haṃ，meaning: Oṃ, emptiness wisdom vajra nature self am I). Thinking that all phenomena are primordially the nature of Suchness. From that state, upon a lotus and solar-lunar seat, the seed syllable of one's own awareness, a red Hrīḥ (藏文：ཧྲཱིཿ，梵文天城体：ह्रीः，梵文罗马拟音：hrīḥ，lotus family seed syllable), merges into one. From its complete transformation arises the Samadhi of All-Illuminating. In an instant, one becomes the Wrathful King, Greatly Powerful Subduer of Arrogance, body red, one face, two arms. The right hand brandishing a vajra kīla in the sky, the left holding a vajra hammer blazing with fire, crushing all the wicked from the head. Standing in a dancing posture upon a crossed sbyor giṅ. Face fierce, bared fangs. Three eyes gazing in anger. From the nostrils, a black wind of the eon rages. From the ears, the thunder of the eon roars. From the tongue, the lightning of the eon flashes. From the mouth, a great sound of Hrīḥ (藏文：ཧྲཱིཿ，梵文天城体：ह्रीः，梵文罗马拟音：hrīḥ，lotus family seed syllable) and Phaṭ (藏文：ཕཊ，梵文天城体：फट，梵文罗马拟音：phaṭ，destroying sound) resounds. Adorned with a garland of skulls, and the eight charnel ground ornaments. Hair yellow-red, blazing upwards. At the crown of the head, a green horse head neighs. Subduing the three realms, employing the three existences as servants. Dwelling in the midst of a blazing fire of the eon. Thus visualizing, remain in clarity. This is a brief explanation of the generation stage. If one wishes to elaborate, one can consult the detailed text of the ritual. Having visualized thus, recite the heart mantra with effort: Oṃ vajra kroda haya grīva hūṃ phaṭ. While reciting, visualize oneself blazing like fire, subduing all evil spirits. Recite thus until signs arise. This is the method of subduing arrogance. If one wishes to accomplish the four activities of pacifying, increasing, magnetizing, and subjugating, one can, on this basis, combine different mudras, offerings, and mantras.
