Visualize dissolving into oneself, and dedicate the merit. This is the approach and daily yoga. If you wish to perform the practice and empowerment, then arrange the mandala: spread out the Great Compassion Root Mandala (Thugs rje chen po rtsa ba'i dkyil 'khor bkram). If connecting with the life force (Rtsa dbang), then arrange its empowerment items and longevity empowerment items together. If doing it alone, then in the center of the root mandala, place a vase filled with the essence of twenty-five, wrapped in red silk, and adorned with ornaments. On top of that, on a throne, decorate with the image of the longevity Buddha (Tshe 'brang) Lama. To the right is a coral tree, adorned with gold and jewels. If not available, use a painted image instead. To the left is an arrow banner. Behind is a fierce torma (Dpal gtor). In front is longevity wine. Surround these with offerings and tormas both inside and out. For the main practice, according to the Great Compassion Root Three Roots Heart Essence (Thugs chen rtsa gsum snying thig) ritual, perform the preliminaries completely. Then, as mentioned above, perform the self-generation visualization and recitation, although the ritual seems to clearly explain the practice of the front vase as well. However, the intention of the text is based on the root mandala for longevity practice and empowerment, and it seems to mainly emphasize the vase practice. Therefore, in the main mandala, according to the ritual, simultaneously perform the self-generation visualization and the front vase visualization, visualizing all the deities in front holding an arrow banner in their right hand and a longevity vase in their left hand. During the recitation, recite a little at the end of the root mantra, visualizing the light from the hearts of all the deities, transforming all the life essence of samsara and nirvana into nectar, bindus, light, and five-colored forms, dissolving into the offerings in front.
