Empowerment Ritual. ༄། །Preliminary Preparations ཧྃ༔ The Extensive Empowerment Ritual of Great Compassionate Avalokiteśvara, the King of the Sky, entitled 'A Stream of Accomplishments'. Namo Guru Lokeśvarāya! (Tibetan: ན་མོ་གུ་རུ་ལོ་ཀེ་ཤྭ་ར་ཡ།，Sanskrit Devanagari: नमो गुरु लोकेश्वराय，Sanskrit Romanization: Namo Guru Lokeśvarāya，Literal Meaning: Homage to the Guru Lokeśvara) The basis for the emergence of a thousand Buddhas of the Fortunate Aeon, The sons of the Buddhas, the fathers of the Victorious Ones, by merely mentioning their names, Shaking the depths of existence, the powerful one of compassion, I prostrate with reverence, protect me with love! From the ocean of teachings and treasure troves, The heart essence, the wish-fulfilling king of empowerment, By purifying this, for the fortunate ones, It bestows whatever desires for the two accomplishments. The great treasure revealer Shikling Gar's master of dance, the main profound teaching of skill, the ripening practice of the noble King of the Sky. In the treasure text, the seven sections teach the supplication for listening, the completion of recitation, the combination of great practice, etc., which nowadays are not attained by those who only seek the empowerment lineage. Therefore, here, as a quick empowerment, Explaining it as an ordinary empowerment, there are five points: preliminary preparations, arrangement of empowerment substances, accomplishment offering of the empowerment meaning, complete empowerment, and the subsequent order of the ritual. The first has five parts: self-generation, preliminary torma, deity, and preparation of the disciples. First is the self-generation: having gathered the items to be explained, recite the lineage supplication and refuge and bodhicitta three times according to the ritual. From the state of aimless emptiness, in the center of the palace, in the expanse of five lights, on a lotus and sun-moon seat, the self-awareness is the red syllable ཧྲཱིཿ (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ，Sanskrit Devanagari: ह्रीः，Sanskrit Romanization: hrīḥ，Literal Meaning: Great Seed). Radiating outwards, offering pleasure and worship to the Victorious Ones, Purifying the obscurations of all sentient beings, Gathering inwards, collecting accomplishments into myself, Thinking to shake samsara from its depths. From that, completely transformed, Myself as the form of Great Compassionate Avalokiteśvara, Red, with one face and two arms, The right hand holding a lotus rosary at the heart, The left hand holding a vase of longevity with a lotus stem. Adorned with precious jewels, lotus garlands, bone ornaments, and, Immeasurable excellent silk pendants. The supreme consort, Secret Wisdom Mother, The right hand holding an utpala flower, the left holding nectar. United, embracing the father's neck, Naked, adorned with six ornaments and a lotus garland.
