The writing of the Sukhāvatī Field Sādhana from the Sky Dharma Mind Treasure, TD783. Sky Dharma Light Teachings. IAST: namo amitābhāya,Literal meaning: Homage to immeasurable light). The writing of the Sky Dharma Sukhāvatī Field Sādhana: Preparations are threefold: extensive, intermediate, and concise, and a fourth without elaboration. Extensive: In front of a Thangka or statue of the field arrangement, arrange eight-petaled lotuses of grain on the base. In the center, place a statue on a throne. To the right, place a vase filled with substances as usual. On the petal behind, place a vajra (Tibetan: རྡོ་རྗེ།,Devanagari: वज्र,IAST: vajra,Literal meaning: diamond/thunderbolt). To the left, place a bowl filled with grain, inside which place a few longevity pills, or if the main practice is longevity, then longevity pills, or it can be filled with longevity food. In front, place a vase-shaped longevity torma as usual. To the rear right, place nectar; to the left, rakta. To the front right, place a round torma representing the main deity and the retinue of three. To the left, place a field-protecting torma representing the main deity and the retinue of four. Around them, arrange the seven offerings. These do not need to be changed except for replenishing. Place a longevity arrow adorned with five-colored silks in front of oneself. In front of the mandala, on a single offering table, arrange the five offerings and a maṇḍala for exchange. Intermediate: In front of the field arrangement, on an offering table, arrange the statue, vase, and longevity torma in a row. To the left, place a vajra (Tibetan: རྡོ་རྗེ།,Devanagari: वज्र,IAST: vajra,Literal meaning: diamond/thunderbolt) on top of a bowl. Next to it, place a single triangular field-protecting torma. In front, arrange the five offerings. Concise: Place a tsakli (small offering cake) on top of the longevity torma. Behind the tsakli, draw a bowl and a vajra (Tibetan: རྡོ་རྗེ།,Devanagari: वज्र,IAST: vajra,Literal meaning: diamond/thunderbolt). This contains both the statue and the field arrangement. The torma is vase-shaped, containing the meaning of the vase. One triangular field-protecting torma, and in front, arrange the five offerings. Extremely Unelaborate: For daily practice, etc., the mandala, offerings, tormas, etc., are all visualized. In this, the field protectors should not be invoked. The practice can be done in four or six sessions, as desired. At the beginning, during the day, first perform the preliminaries and cast the obstacle-removing torma. After that, the preliminaries are not necessary each time. Recite according to the arrangement of the text until the end of the recitation. Then engage in the practice and cultivate the visualization. In front, a vast throne of jewels, with eight peacocks supporting each corner of the throne. Above that, a lotus with a hundred thousand petals, and above that, a full moon, and above that, Amitābha. The color of the body is like a ruby or coral. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Adorn your body with the three saffron robes. If you were born in the year of the Monkey, visualize your body color as reddish-yellow, like the color of red lead. Visualize the three robes as golden. On the right and left are two Bodhisattvas and a retinue. Like a vast gathering of countless Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. The main figure is greater and taller than all. The supreme Bodhi tree is sixteen hundred yojanas (Sanskrit: yojana, an ancient Indian unit of length) tall, with lush branches, blooming flowers, and fragrant fruits. Leaning against this tree, in front is a small lake of nectar with eight qualities, in the center of which is a large white lotus with eight petals, slightly open. Visualize yourself as a white Bodhisattva, hair in a topknot, adorned with silk and jewels. Your lower body is submerged in the lotus, your upper body with palms together, facing forward, listening to the Dharma. Through my prayers and mantra recitations, various rays of light emanate from the front, illuminating the sky, earth, and intermediate space. All places transform into the Land of Great Bliss. The ground is made of lapis lazuli, level and smooth, adorned with golden grids. Various beautiful flowers bloom everywhere. All the trees are made of various jewels, with leaves of silk and fruits bearing auspicious symbols. The fruits ripen into shapes such as the Yungdrung (Tibetan: གཡུང་དྲུང་, a Buddhist symbol) and the Gakyil (Tibetan: དགའ་འཁྱིལ།). Rainbows and clouds appear in the sky, and flower rain falls in the intermediate space. On the ground are spread all desired enjoyments. All beings are Bodhisattvas, golden in color, possessing the marks and signs of a Buddha. They are all dressed as monks, wearing the three robes. They are all free from suffering, possessing happiness and joy. This is the visualization for purifying the Pure Land. Emanating countless Bodhisattvas from your own body, in order to confess the sins and obscurations of yourself and all beings from beginningless time until now, perform countless prostrations. Similarly, accomplish countless circumambulations in an instant through miraculous power. Then, these Bodhisattvas bathe the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. After wiping their bodies with cloths of Kāśika (Sanskrit: Kāśika, a type of silk), offer the three robes to the emanated Buddhas, and silk and jewels to the two Bodhisattvas. Offer water for washing the mouth with eight qualities. Then, the emanated Bodhisattvas dissolve into yourself. Emanating countless offering goddesses from yourself, holding offerings. Offerings are made with foot-washing water and other individual offering activities. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
