Dedication with the perception of a tiger, in order to establish everything in the irreversible state, is the antidote to doubt and a branch of virtue. Then comes the main practice: the three forms of Samadhi (meditative absorption). First, Suchness: all phenomena encompassed by outer and inner vessels, etc., are empty and selfless, without object of focus, like the sky. This is the Samadhi of Suchness. However, this is only an example using the emptiness of the sky; it does not fall into the extreme of annihilation like the current outer sky. In this state, all sentient beings equal to the sky, who have been our kind mothers since beginningless time, even if they are beasts, are bound by ignorance and the duality of grasping and being grasped, wandering in the ocean of suffering in samsara. How pitiful! How wonderful it would be if they could all be established in the state of omniscient wisdom! Generating such a mind, causing emptiness to appear as the radiance of compassion, is the Samadhi of All-Appearing. Thus, from the realm of the union of emptiness and compassion, from (Tibetan: པཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: प, Sanskrit Romanization: paṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Pam) arises a lotus, from (Tibetan: རཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: र, Sanskrit Romanization: raṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Ram) arises a sun disc, from (Tibetan: ཨ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Chinese literal meaning: A) arises a moon disc. In the center, generate the essence of mind, the red (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ह्रीः, Sanskrit Romanization: hrīḥ, Chinese literal meaning: Hrih) syllable, with a long mark, a dot, and a hook. From this complete transformation, oneself becomes the wrathful king Hayagriva (Horse Neck) the Great Powerful One, body color red, right hand holding a curved knife raised in the sky, left hand holding a skull cup filled with blood at the heart, or right hand holding an iron hook that attracts life, and left hand holding a vase filled with the essence of life, or a vase on top of the skull cup, whichever is convenient. Furthermore, possessing the eight charnel ground adornments, the ten ornaments, and the nine dance postures, on the crown is a green horse head symbolizing the four activities, with a wrathful nature, a white neigh symbolizing peace, a yellow face symbolizing increase, and red whiskers symbolizing power. This is not a fixed, solid thing, but a clear and bright form of appearance and emptiness, appropriately near and far, like a painted or embossed volcano, not flat, but covered in a tent of rainbow light and flames. From the tips of all the flames, emanate various sharp and powerful weapons such as vajra swords, destroying all demons, obstacles, spirits, humans, and non-human beings that interrupt life. Thinking in this way is said to be the supreme protection wheel. On the crown of the head, on the pistil of a four-petaled red lotus, in the center of the sun and moon discs, visualize the essence of all Buddhas, inseparable from the kind root guru, the protector Amitayus (Buddha of Limitless Life). --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I visualize Amitayus (Infinite Life Buddha), with a red body, like a mountain of red coral embraced by a billion suns. He is adorned with beautiful ornaments of silk and jewels, and sits in the vajra posture. His body radiates billions of rays of light in all directions. His two hands are in the meditation mudra, holding a vase made of seven precious jewels, filled with the essence of immortal life nectar, and adorned with a wish-fulfilling tree. In his lap, he embraces a white-clad, rosy-cheeked consort, whose right hand holds a lotus rosary, encircling his neck. Her left hand holds the longevity vase near his ear, symbolizing the inseparable union of skillful means and wisdom. On his right lotus petal is the white Locana, on his left is the yellow Mamaki, in front is the blue Dhatvishvari, and behind is the green Samaya Tara. They are also adorned with silk and jewel ornaments, possessing the beauty of sixteen-year-olds, and holding nectar vases in their two hands. I meditate in this way. After meditating in this way, visualize at the crown of the main deity the essence of body vajra, the white syllable Om (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओम्, Sanskrit Romanization: Om, Literal meaning: Om); at the throat, the essence of speech vajra, the red syllable Ah (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: आः, Sanskrit Romanization: Āḥ, Literal meaning: Ah); at the heart, the essence of mind vajra, the blue syllable Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: Hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hum); and in the center of the moon disc, the essence of wisdom vajra, the red syllable Hrih (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ह्रीः, Sanskrit Romanization: Hrīḥ, Literal meaning: Hrih), like a flame undisturbed by the wind, clear and free from all impurities. Then, around the Hrih (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ह्रीः, Sanskrit Romanization: Hrīḥ, Literal meaning: Hrih) syllable, visualize the mantra Om Guru Ayurjñana (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་གུ་རུ་ཨཱ་ཡུརྫྙཱ་ན) revolving. From the Hrih (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ह्रीः, Sanskrit Romanization: Hrīḥ, Literal meaning: Hrih) syllable, radiate light rays, curving upwards like iron hooks, inviting all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas and their disciples, especially the Blessed One Amitayus (Infinite Life Buddha) from the Western Pure Land of Sukhavati, along with the four classes of Dakinis, in numbers even greater than the previous field of merit, as countless as sesame seeds in a pod, arriving like dense clouds, merging into their respective Samaya beings, making them even more numerous and radiant than before, radiating countless rays of light. Visualize yourself as Hayagriva, and from your heart emanate countless offering goddesses with graceful postures. They satisfy the eye sense of the Amitayus (Infinite Life Buddha) mandala deities with Mandarava flowers and so on; similarly, they satisfy the nose sense with incense such as Agarwood; they satisfy the tongue sense with nourishing and potent foods; they satisfy the mind sense with bright and smooth butter lamps; they offer external offerings such as sprinkling and bathing with sandalwood, saffron, and other fragrant waters; and internal offerings such as beautiful forms, pleasant sounds, fragrant smells, delicious tastes, and soft touches. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
