Thus, visualize yourself filled with the light of the essence of life, with Red Tamdrin (Tibetan: རྟ་མགྲིན་དམར་པོ་, Meaning: Red Hayagriva) holding a vajra and a lasso, with a green horse head neighing on the crown of your head. Make the determination that from now on, all obstacles that cut short life will be protected. Place the vajra at your heart, and recite: Hrīḥ (藏文，梵文天城體：ह्रीः，梵文羅馬擬音：hrīḥ，Seed Syllable). Recite: Padmā Krodha Hayagrīva Hūṃ Phaṭ (蓮花忿怒馬頭明王吽 呸). Thus, the preliminary practices are completed. Again, for the actual empowerment, pray with unwavering devotion and intense longing to the lama, repeat after me: Vajra Holder, please listen! After praying in this way, visualize the immeasurable Buddhas filling the sky, in auspicious forms, placing a vase filled with immortal nectar on your head. The inside of your body is filled with the essence of nectar, obtaining the immortal vajra life. Place the vase on your head, and recite: Hrīḥ. Visualize the outer world and inner beings, etc., being filled with nectar, and drink the water from the vase. After such empowerment, the stream of immortal nectar fills the entire body, obtaining the empowerment of the vajra life. Visualize all the Buddhas abiding in the sky, showering auspicious flowers like rain, thereby strengthening your commitment. From the naturally pure realm of Dharma. (Tibetan: རང་བཞིན་རྣམ་དག་ཆོས་དབྱིངས་ངང་ཉིད་ལས།) Etc., recite auspicious prayers. Then, visualize this arrow of life, clearly appearing as the Lord of Immeasurable Life and Wisdom (Tibetan: མགོན་པོ་ཚེ་དང་ཡེ་ཤེས་དཔག་ཏུ་མེད་པ), from the root guru to the lineage gurus in succession, abiding on your head like a staircase. When the master recites the prayer to inspire their vows, you also pray with irresistible devotion, visualizing all the gurus filled with joyful radiance, their voices resounding with the sound of mantras, their hearts blazing with profound and clear non-dual wisdom, for the sake of blessing you, from the hands of the upper gurus, the stream of nectar pours into the hands of the lower gurus. The master raises the torma, and recites: Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ! In the unbiased mandala of the Dharma realm. (Tibetan: ཆོས་དབྱིངས་ཕྱོགས་ལྷུང་བྲལ་བའི་དཀྱིལ་འཁོར་དུ༔) etc., and the long life mantra.
