'In the degenerate age, the vast Dharma I have taught will not decline. Therefore, conceal this concise and pithy instruction in a rock resembling a lion lying on a crag.' Thus it was said, and the great translator Vairochana concealed the immortal life-essence pill ཧྲཱིཿ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: ह्रीः, Sanskrit Romanization: hrīḥ, Chinese literal meaning: seed syllable) together withརྒྱ་ as a profound treasure within the Zabdön Rigdzin Thugthig (Heart Drop of the Vidyadharas) . Later, the translator himself emanated as the great tertön Chögyal Terdag Lingpa, who unearthed it, leading countless fortunate disciples onto the path of maturation and liberation. Therefore, this teaching of Tsedrub Yangnying Kundü (Essence of Life, Gathering All), whose blessings are particularly extraordinary, is divided into two parts: the self-benefiting life practice with its branches, and the other-benefiting life empowerment. Here, we are at the stage of accomplishing the blessing empowerment. Among these, there are two parts: the actions of the Vajra Master and the actions of the Vajra disciples. The actions that the master should perform have already been completed according to the practice of the venerable lama, without any omissions or additions. Now, it is your turn to receive this profound life empowerment. Please offer the mandala as payment. (Indication) The disciples offer the mandala. Then, for the sake of supplication, please visualize as follows: This place is transformed into a pure and boundless mandala of wisdom. The master himself is the embodiment of all Buddhas of the three times—Amitayus (Tsepakmé, Buddha of Limitless Life)—and with unwavering faith and intense devotion, supplicate. Please repeat after me: ཀྱཻ༔ བླ་མ་དཀྱིལ་འཁོར་ལྷ་ཚོགས་དགོངས༔ (Kye! Lama, Kyilkhor Lhatsok Gong! - Kye! Gurus, Mandala, Deities, heed!) three times. Then, for the sake of taking refuge, visualize in the space in front of you, the lama and the protector Amitayus are inseparable, surrounded by the Three Roots and countless Buddhas, vividly present. Since the basis of blessing is to invoke wisdom, please sit upright in the vajra posture, adjust your breath, and focus your mind on this visualization: Light radiates from the heart of the Guru, striking you, purifying all impure appearances, including the physical body of flesh and blood, into emptiness.
