Amitayus (tshe dpag med, Immeasurable Life), protector, before the beings to be tamed in Jambudvipa. I prostrate to the Lotus-born Vidyadhara manifestation. From that comes the profound nectar stream of instructions, pervading the ground of realm, power, and faith. Merely the life of liberation, this manifestation of the rainbow body is wondrous. From the ocean of the lineage of life, the essence of refined butter, the activity praised as the heart's blood of the Dakinis, the Gathering of Conquerors, begins. The arrangement of the mandala, if connected to empowerment and great accomplishment, should be done in accordance with each. For a simple Tsedrup activity, it is sufficient to have a Tsebhum (tshe bum, life vase), Tsedze (tshe rdzas, life substances), offerings, torma (gtor ma, sacrificial cake), and general gathering implements in front. The actual activity has three parts: preliminary, main part, and subsequent order. The first has eight parts, beginning with supplicating the lineage lamas. Invoking blessings with the Seven Line Prayer goes first. Lord of all families, Bhagavan Amitayus (tshe dpag med, Immeasurable Life). May all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas awaken to the all-pervading wheel of Dharma. Hum! Homage! To all the Victorious Ones residing in the ten directions, and The Protector (Natha) Lord of Life (ayu-svami), the assembly of the Five Buddha Families, The Vidyadhara Lords of Life and the assembly of gods and sages, The Dharma and the noble Sangha, I take refuge until the essence of enlightenment (bodhi-hrdaya), May the Protectors hold me with compassion. (Recite three times) Third is generating the mind of enlightenment: Vidyadhara Lords of Life, please heed me! In order to liberate all beings without exception, And to establish them in the supreme, unsurpassed enlightenment, I will accomplish the immortal Vidyadhara deities. From emptiness, in perfect vessels, from 'Kham' arise desire-fulfilling nectar (amrita) tormas, possessing the five qualities of desire, in accordance with the wishes and actions of each type of obstacle, transforming into vast, inexhaustible clouds. Bless with 'Akaros'. Summon with 'Sarva Vighnan Akarshaya Jah'. Consecrate with 'Sarva Vighnan Namah Sarva' and other Akashagarbha mantras and mudras three times, then issue the command: Hum! In this immortal Vajra Life Mandala, Except for the assembled deities, All misleading demons and non-human spirits, The eighty thousand obstacles and fifteen great demons, As well as plague lords and Yama death demons, Take this torma of karmic obstacles, Do not remain here, return to your respective abodes!
