A Concise and Clear Explanation of the Practice of the Ritual of the Black Planner, the Destroyer. Namo Manjushriye (Homage to Manjushri, मन̃जुश्री，mañjuśrī，Glorious Gentle One). Having prostrated to the deities of the Mandala of Manjushri Vajra Blood-Drinker, I compose this for the sake of averting external enemies, the arrangement of the Torma (Tibetan: མདོས，Sanskrit: बलि，bali，offering) and other practical steps of the Black Planner, To make it easy for myself and other fortunate ones to practice. Thus, it is also said in the precepts: 'The six classes of Black Atar Chokdrung are the protectors of the doctrine: the Chokdrung of the planets, the razor-secret averter, the Chokdrung of the Mamos (Tibetan: མ་མོ，Sanskrit: मातृ，mātṛ，female protective deities), the black woman riding a donkey, the Chokdrung of the Gonpo (Tibetan: མགོན་པོ，Sanskrit: नाथ，nātha，protector), the Great Black Mother Tangka, the Chokdrung of aversion, the Black Planner, the Chokdrung of bad omens, the Northern Medicine Woman, and the Chokdrung of hail, the powerful Kulanga. The six classes of Chokdrung are the foundation of the Dharma protectors, the weapon of those who keep their vows and have marrow.' Moreover, among the eight implements of Manjushri Yama, it is the implement of the averting Torma. Through this, all external aggressions are averted through the Torma. One who is empowered and ripened in the mandala of Yama or Yamaraja, especially one who has received the empowerment of this Torma, who abides by the vows and has completed the recitation, should undertake this activity. There are three parts: First, gathering the substances and arranging the display. First, on the seat of the main deity, place a double-tiered canopy, topped with a small umbrella in the shape of an eagle's nest, Above that, a black sky-tent decorated with rainbow patterns and a finial. On the seats of the Father and Mother, place white sky-tents, the top decorated with waterfowl feathers, and the sides with white silk. A red sky-tent, the top decorated with red bird feathers, and the sides with red silk. On the seats of the six messengers, place blue sky-tents, the top decorated with crow feathers, and the sides with black silk.
