First is the self-generation practice: In a secluded place, arrange as many offerings as possible. Rise early in the morning and bless fragrant water by reciting 'Om Vajra Yaksha Hum (藏文:ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ཡཀྵ་ཧཱུྃ,梵文:Oṃ Vajra Yakṣa Hūṃ,梵文罗马拟音:Om Vajra Yaksha Hum, 嗡,金刚,夜叉,吽)', holding it in the left hand. May all diseases, evil spirits, and defilements of the body be purified. Sprinkle the water on the ground and the dwelling, may all impurities, faults, and stains of the dwelling be purified. Drink the water into the mouth, reciting the three mantras, may all misdeeds of body, speech, and mind be purified. Thus, perform the touching and drinking. Accumulating Merit: In an instant, visualize yourself abiding as Manjushri Jñanasattva, with a red and bright Dhīḥ (藏文:དྷཱིཿ,梵文:Dhīḥ,梵文罗马拟音:Dhīḥ,seed syllable) on a moon disc at your heart, radiating light, inviting Manjushri Jñanasattva from the realm of self-nature purity, as well as countless retinues of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas from the ten directions, into the space in front. Recite: Namo Mañjuśrījñānasattva Sarva Buddha Bodhisattva Sapariwara Mandalayabhya (藏文:ན་མོ་མཉྫུ་ཤྲཱི་ཛྙཱ་ན་སཏྭ་སརྦ་བུདྡྷ་བོ་དྷི་སཏྭ་ས་པ་རི་ཝཱ་ར་མཎྜ་ལེ་བྷྱཿ), prostrate. Offer from Argham (藏文:ཨརྒྷཾ) to Shabda (藏文:ཤབྡའི་) with the above mantra. Take refuge in the Three Jewels, offer to the Three Jewels, confess all sins, rejoice in the virtues of beings, and hold the Bodhicitta of the Buddha in mind. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I take refuge in the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha until enlightenment. To fulfill the benefit of myself and others, I generate the supreme Bodhicitta. Having generated the supreme Bodhicitta, I invite all sentient beings as my guests. To benefit all beings, may I practice the supreme Bodhisattva conduct and quickly attain Buddhahood. Thus, perform the seven-branch pure offering. Meditate on the four immeasurables, beginning with 'May all sentient beings have happiness and the causes of happiness'. Visualize the deity with four complete limbs: Oṃ svabhāva śuddhāḥ sarva dharmāḥ svabhāvā śuddho'haṃ (藏文:ཨོཾ་སྭ་བྷཱ་བ་ཤུདྡྷཿསརྦ་དྷརྨཱཿསྭ་བྷཱ་ཝཱ་ཤུདྡྷོ྅་ཧཾཿ,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ svabhāva śuddhāḥ sarva dharmāḥ svabhāvā śuddho'haṃ,Literal meaning: Om, purity of nature, all dharmas, pure in nature, I am). From emptiness, from the syllable Paṃ arises a lotus, and from Raṃ arises a sun disc. Above them, from Hūṃ arises a multicolored vajra, marked with the syllable Hūṃ at its center. From it (the Hūṃ syllable) light radiates in all directions, within a vajra tent and a mountain of flames. From the syllable E arises a vast and expansive Dharmadhatu palace. At its center, from Yaṃ arises the wind mandala, from Raṃ arises the fire mandala, from Khaṃ arises the water mandala, and from Laṃ arises the earth mandala, stacked in order. From Bhrūṃ, melting into light, arises a square mansion made of various jewels, with four doors and twenty corners, surrounded by five layers of walls. On the jeweled walls are yellow semi-circular nets, arrow parapets in the form of stupas. Inside, eight pillars support four vajra beams adorned with many eyes. The center is marked with a half-vajra pinnacle. Each of the four doors has a four-tiered staircase supported by four pillars, adorned with a Dharma wheel, reclining deer, and a parasol pinnacle. Outside the four doors are eight steps. Outside the walls hang red banners on which sixteen goddesses perform dances. In the center of this is a multicolored lotus with eight petals. At the center is a lion, lotus, and sun seat. On the four cardinal petals are moon seats, and on the four intermediate petals are jeweled vases filled with nectar. On the central seat, from the syllable Dhīḥ arises a sword, marked with the syllable Dhīḥ, radiating light, making offerings to the noble ones, and benefiting sentient beings. The light is gathered back, transforming into Noble Mañjuśrī, the Wisdom Hero, radiant like refined gold, with one face and four arms. The first right hand holds a sword with the flame of wisdom blazing at its tip, the first left hand holds a blue utpala flower upon which rests a Prajñāpāramitā scripture, and the lower two hands draw a bow and arrow, symbolizing skillful means and wisdom. Adorned with various jewels, he sits in the vajra posture. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
