From the Great Treasure, TD560, 'Longevity Practice: Sky Iron Vajra, All Accomplishments Combined,' this is the teaching called 'Sugata Sadhana: Essence of Eight Teachings' Accomplishments.' Emaho! I prostrate to the deities of the Sugata Assembly! This is called 'Sugata Sadhana: Eight Teachings,' the essence of all sutras, tantras, and instructions. In the palace of Akanishta Dharmadhatu, spoken by the teacher Samantabhadra, and mind-transmitted to the circle of Vidyadharas; in the pure lands known as the three abodes of the gods, the Vidyadhara symbolically transmitted it, revealing it in written form; in the sacred land of India, at the Dejyek Tsek stupa, it was entrusted to the Dakini Karma Wangmo Che; the teacher, the perfectly enlightened Buddha Shakyamuni, blessed it; the eight great Vidyadharas manifested as teachers; Padmasambhava, the self-arisen, spontaneously accomplished one, having attained accomplishment, intending to ignite the lamp of Dharma in the dark continent of Tibet, bound all gods and demons by oath; constructed the spontaneously accomplished palace of Samye; led King Trisong Detsen and other fortunate individuals onto the path of maturation, liberation, and enlightenment; considering that future beings would be controlled by the five poisons, he filled all mountains and valleys with profound treasures; the one hundred and thirty-five sections of the 'Sugata Sadhana: Eight Teachings' were scattered according to what was appropriate for each to be tamed; all the major, intermediate, and minor sadhanas are complete and their meanings condensed; even each phrase and each verse has a profound and unique key point, making for a great many treasures. And with prophecies that there would be great benefit for beings in the future, all these were recorded by me, Kharchen Bza, who obtained the dharani of non-forgetting. In particular, as part of the profound Longevity Practice: Sky Iron Vajra, All Accomplishments Combined, 'Vimala's Conduct: Clear Light' and 'Essence of Eight Teachings' are the heart essence of Nyangben Tingdzin Zangpo, which is extremely remarkable. The Dharma cycles of the 'Sugata Sadhana: Eight Teachings' are particularly superior to others. Why is that? Because it is the heart essence of Guru Rinpoche. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It is known as the undisputed deity, and it is said that in the future, all followers will attain accomplishment through this. Therefore, without doubt or hesitation, practice! Speak! Show! Meditate! Samaya! Gya Gya Gya! Homage to the wrathful deity of the victorious ones! To meditate on the yoga of approach and accomplishment of the Eight Herukas of the Sugata Accomplishment, first, to demarcate with the view; second, to generate the palace by accumulating the elements in order; third, to visualize the assembly of deities; fourth, to invoke and bestow blessings; fifth, to offer self-praise; sixth, to mix the outer and inner without distinction; seventh, to recite the wrathful mantra samadhi; eighth, to urge and entrust with activity. First, to demarcate with the view: Hūṃ! In this mandala of the peaceful and wrathful victorious ones from the beginning, the vessel and essence, appearance and sound, are all the nature of wisdom. From where do Rudra (Sanskrit: Rudra, meaning fierce or terrible), enemies, and obstructing dualistic fixations arise? From Ka to Ga (Tibetan: ཀ་ནས་དག), neither god nor demon is established; it is one's own mind. Hūṃ! Not realizing this, from the self-nature of delusion, beings of suffering cities and samsara arise. All of these unmodified, natural mind-essence, in an instant, are perfected, transforming into the illusory body of Heruka (Sanskrit: Heruka, meaning blood-drinker). From the Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: seed syllable) in its heart, emanate immeasurable rays of light, hand gestures, letters, body forms, and flames, destroying obstacles and demons, transforming into a protective wheel. Without outer or inner, it is the realm of great bliss. Oṃ Hūṃ Āḥ Jaḥ Phaṭ! Oṃ Vajra Krodha Sarva Samaya! Oṃ Rulu Rulu Hūṃ Bhyo Hūṃ! Hūṃ! To all the peaceful and wrathful deities from the beginning, I prostrate! With relative truth, ultimate truth, mudras, and dances, I offer with the meaning of non-duality of outer, inner, and secret. Even at the cost of life, I will not abandon it; I will practice diligently. Vajra Samaya! Ati Pūho! Pratīccha Ho! Yami Namo! Hūṃ! Originally, all are the peaceful and wrathful deities of one's own mind, without object of repentance or repenter, in equanimity, faults, transgressions, and defilements dissolve into the expanse. All are non-dual, pervasive, and vast mandala. Oṃ Svabhāva Śuddhaḥ Sarva Dharmāḥ Svabhāva Śuddho 'Haṃ Svāhā! Hūṃ! From the vast expanse of the all-pervading, all-creating Dharmadhatu intelligence, the unobstructed, clear, self-aware nature is the letter Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: seed syllable). From this, in order, appear Ai (Tibetan: ཨེ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ऐ, Sanskrit Romanization: ai, Chinese literal meaning: space element seed syllable), Yaṃ (Tibetan: ཡཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: यं, Sanskrit Romanization: yaṃ, Chinese literal meaning: wind element seed syllable), Raṃ (Tibetan: རཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: रं, Sanskrit Romanization: raṃ, Chinese literal meaning: fire element seed syllable), Suṃ (Tibetan: སུཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: सुं, Sanskrit Romanization: suṃ, Chinese literal meaning: water element seed syllable), Keṃ (Tibetan: ཀེཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: के, Sanskrit Romanization: keṃ, Chinese literal meaning: earth element seed syllable), Raṃ (Tibetan: རྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: रं, Sanskrit Romanization: raṃ, Chinese literal meaning: fire element seed syllable), Bhrūṃ (Tibetan: བྷྲཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: भ्रूं, Sanskrit Romanization: bhrūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: luminous purity). In order, space, wind, blood, earth, and the mountain of bones, flames, and the palace of the vase. Unmodified, the spontaneously accomplished luminous mandala appears, without directions or boundaries, empty and clear, without beginning or end. It is not real, but a great palace of illusion. Bhrūṃ Viśva Viśuddhe Bhrūṃ! Hūṃ! From the emanation and absorption of the self-aware letter Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: seed syllable), immeasurable rays of light accomplish offerings and benefit to others. Unmodified, the naturally arising splendor. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
