That is called 'Na'. As it is said in the words of the Omniscient Pema Karpo (kun mkhyen pad dkar, the All-Knowing White Lotus) in praise of the Guru: 'His body is the Sangha, his speech is the Dharma, his mind is the essence of the Buddha.' Therefore, generate the certainty that the Lama is the general glory of the union of the Three Jewels. Understand that all the Yidams (yi dam, इष्टदेवता, iṣṭadevatā, इष्टदेव, iṣṭadeva, cherished deity) and Dakinis (ḍā ki, ḍākinī, ḍākinī, sky dancer) that appear in various forms are the playful displays of the Lama, appearing in whatever way tames whatever [being]. Then, after the supplication of the lineage, think: 'From this time until I attain the state of great enlightenment, I and all beings as vast as space take refuge.' Recite 'I abandon other protectors and take refuge in you, the great Vidyadhara (rig 'dzin, vidyādhara, vidyādhara, knowledge holder),' etc. Thus, if you supplicate the Protector for refuge, may he look upon you from the realm of compassion. And may I attain the state of Padma Dragpo (padma drag po, Wrathful Lotus) in this life, and like the Victorious Padma Jungne (padma 'byung gnas, Lotus Born), may I accomplish the benefit of sentient beings with an ocean of Buddha activity. Therefore, from 'With the eye of compassion' to 'I will train in that,' generate the aspiration and application Bodhicitta. Thus, recite the refuge and Bodhicitta three times. Finally, all the Yidams and Dakinis, the essence of the three Kayas, gather and dissolve into the Lama. The Lama's body also dissolves into oneself in the form of a mass of light, and one rests equally in the expanse of undifferentiated self-awareness, which is the ultimate refuge. The four empowerments of Lama Yoga are also complete in meaning. In that state of equipoise, recite Oṃ Svabhāva (oṃ sva bhāva, oṃ svabhāva, oṃ svabhāva, Om Self-Nature) etc., the meaning of the mantra being: 'All dharmas are pure by nature, I am the essence of complete purity by nature.' That is to say, all the dharmas of Samsara and Nirvana are empty and selfless, and from the beginning are like the sky, beyond the mind of grasping and apprehending. The meaning of resting in that state is: the expanse of primordial purity and primordial completion. Primordial purity is the nature of mind, which is pure from the beginning. 'Primordial' means original or first, so it is something that is pure from the very beginning. Be certain of that, and not like something that previously had impurities and was later made free of them. That which is free from impurities is the basis from which all the arrangements of pure dharmas arise, therefore it is primordially complete. In some Treasure (gter, treasure) texts it is said: 'Phenomena and existence are established on a great basis.' The meaning is that it is primordially established as a Mandala (dkyil 'khor, maṇḍala, maṇḍala, circle). Primordial purity is great abandonment, primordial completion is great realization. Thus, by means of the essence of primordial purity and primordial completion, one clearly establishes the form of self-awareness Padma Dragpo. The great practice texts of the new and old Tantras . --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
