Great Treasure of Terma TD356 A concise and easy-to-understand written record of the Dakpo Secret Path Guru Sadhana entitled 'Self-Illuminating Wisdom'. Dakpo's Secret Path Guru Sadhana. Recitation Manual. Namo Guru Punyaratnaya. The sun praised by the Victorious Ones' prophecies, Overpowering the constellations of doctrine holders, The protector of the essential teachings, the lord of existence and peace, I bow with reverence at the feet of the life-sustaining monk. From whose profound and vast Dharma wheel, The supreme secret path with four liberations, If you wish to see the stainless face of the Dharmakaya like the moon, Strive here. Then, the Dharma King Zla'od Zhonnu, with compassion, thinking of those who will seek the excellent path of the essence in the future, concealed this extraordinary secret path guru sadhana, which is particularly excellent for hearing and liberation, as a treasure in the meditation cave of Gampo Gadar Ri, in the hat. Je's own disciple, Kyesgom Yeshe Dorje's emanation, Rigzin Ja'tshon Nyingpo, brought it forth and bestowed the supreme siddhi on many fortunate ones. There are two ways to practice this profound Dharma: the extensive method and the condensed method of instruction. First, having mastered the four common mind-turning practices, diligently practice the uncommon preliminaries, accumulating hundreds of thousands or until signs appear. Then, according to the meaning of settling the dwelling, etc., lay the foundation with calm abiding (shamatha). Having realized the face of insight (vipashyana), practice the Great Seal (Mahamudra) co-emergent union until it is perfected. As a means of enhancing realization, strive in the meditation and recitation of Vajrayogini, so that the wisdom of bliss and emptiness union may be manifested. Furthermore, train in gaining stability in each of the six bardos' stages of guidance. Integrate the daily practice and the ultimate delivery into the Guru Secret Sadhana, and strive throughout one's life to achieve the non-learning union of the Great Perfection in this life. However, nowadays, due to the power of diligence in this degenerate age, it is only practiced by a few fortunate individuals. Secondly, regarding the condensed method of instruction, there is the superior three-year practice, the intermediate three-month practice, and the inferior three-week practice. This was taught by Dharma King Dakpo Lhaje (Dakpo the Physician). --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the Rainbow Essence, in the instructions on pure appearances, here, the outer, inner, and secret practices are distinguished. During the outer practice, visualize the lama as the embodiment of all Buddhas, either on the crown of your head or in front of you, and offer the mandala and prayers. The inner practice involves reciting the mantra of Vajravarahi. The secret practice involves meditating on the lama in your heart and reciting the three syllables(藏文:འབྲུ་གསུམ་,梵文天城体:त्र्यक्षर,梵文罗马拟音:tryakṣara,汉语字面意思:three syllables). The very secret is that ultimate reality itself, utterly free from elaboration, beyond doing and not doing, merely the term 'Great Perfection,' just a word. Just as the meaning of these words implies, to put them into practice, first, based on the foundation of contemplating the difficulty of finding leisure and opportunity, impermanence and death, the infallibility of karma, and the faults of samsara, generate renunciation and the determination to be free, thereby turning the mind towards the Dharma. Taking the example of a seven-day or three-day retreat, the first seven days are for outer practice: In a practice place blessed by the guru, or in a secluded place that you like, clean it, and in front of the images of the Kagyu lineage lamas and other sacred objects, on a clean platform, if you can prepare two mandalas, that would be even better, larger and more excellent, as a support for practice. Cleanse with incense and milk, and arrange five heaps of offerings with flowers or white rice. In front of that, arrange the implements for offering the mandala, as well as water, two types of offerings, the five objects of enjoyment, etc., as lavishly as possible. According to the Drukpa Kagyu tradition, there seems to be a custom of offering tormas in the evening; if you do that, it also includes the torma offering mentioned during the inner practice. On the first evening, also prepare the tsok feast. If you understand the deity yoga and the necessary preliminary and subsequent recitations, practicing Vajravarahi is best. Otherwise, you must rely on any kind of dakini practice. First, according to the ritual of that practice, offer the torma and dispel obstacles. Stack boundary stones and visualize the protective circle. Then, avoid people coming and going, and if possible, it is best to keep silent. In the evening, when the time for the evening session arrives, sit comfortably on the seat. Make a vow not to be distracted, and recite the words of invoking the refuge field. When reciting the words 'I am the clear appearance of the deity, on the crown of my head,' etc., just slightly remember yourself as a deity like Vajrayogini. If it is not convenient to visualize on the crown of your head, you can also visualize the deity facing you in the space in front of you. On the lotus and moon cushion, the root guru abides in the form known throughout Jambudvipa. From the top of his head upwards, the lineage lamas up to Vajradhara are stacked like a ladder. Around them, like clouds, are gathered the Kagyu lineage lamas, Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, yidams, dakinis, and dharma protectors. I and all sentient beings of the six realms --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
