Through this very means, whether one is taking care of fortunate disciples or seeking a hundred empowerments, one should arrange the display and empowerment sequence completely, like the armor of immortality. In addition, a round longevity vase made of chang (barley beer), milk, and sugar, surrounded by longevity pills, should be placed in front of the mandala. If it is a single empowerment, it should be done as usual before the tsok (feast). If it is necessary to accumulate a hundred or more, it is easier to enter the empowerment after the tsok has been completed, so it should be practiced as a custom. In any case, during the empowerment, a working vase should be prepared from the beginning as a substitute for cleansing water. In order to ultimately attain the supreme state of Amitayus (Tsepakme, Buddha of Limitless Life) of Orgyen (Padmasambhava's pure land), please listen with the profound intention to hear and practice the profound empowerment of deathlessness and longevity. Know that the foundation for accomplishing all worldly and Dharma activities, especially for Dharma practitioners and upholders of the Dharma, is to live long. Therefore, those with wisdom should first strive to achieve longevity. As it is said in the Guhyasamaja Tantra: 'First accomplish the life of the vidyadhara.' Praising the practice of longevity as the primary task of altruistic activities. And within this, there are extensive classifications of the basis to be accomplished, the methods of accomplishment, the forms of representation, the ways of restoration, the masters of restoration, and so on. As for the present, among the methods of practicing longevity, there will arise limitless differences such as common and uncommon. Among them, mainly taking the uncommon Vajrayana order as the first, we will practice longevity and restore decline. For this, not only is empowerment necessary, but a qualified yogi, merely through empowerment, can easily accomplish the desired goals. Therefore, we will perform such a sequence of rituals. In this regard, the traditions of the new and old Kagyu and Terma are as vast as the ocean. Among them, belonging to the profound Terma of the early translations, is the Southern Treasure precious Dharma class brought forth by Dharma King Ratna Lingpa, one of the four profound gatherings. Merely by its name, it can give beings a respite in this age of strife. The Dharma called 'Longevity Secret Gathering,' from the father and son Tertöns to the present, all who have practiced this have conquered the battlefield of untimely death and attained the accomplishment of longevity. This Dharma is distinguished by many superior qualities, and the warmth of its blessings inspires unwavering faith. We will perform the Vajrakilaya empowerment related to the core meaning empowerment jewel method. 'For me, the preparations that need to be done have been completed perfectly. In order for you to receive the profound empowerment of deathless life, please offer a mandala.' After guiding in this way, begin to guide everyone to offer a mandala. With strong devotion and reverence, with palms together and holding flowers, pray to the main deity of the mandala, Guru Amitayus, and repeat after me: Kye!
