From the Great Treasure of the Great Perfection, TD64, 'The Quintessence of the Gathering of Glorious Heruka, Blissful Supreme Buddha Union': This is called 'The Jewel Drop,' which clearly elucidates the rite of empowerment for maturation. Chokgyur Lingpa's Buddha Union, Empowerment Rite. Namo Guru Sarva Buddha Samayoga! Homage to the Guru, the union of all Buddhas!) From the bliss of great bliss and secrecy, all entities are magically emanated. United with all the Buddhas, I pay homage to the Lama who is the embodiment of the sixth. Vajrasattva, the lord of all families, arising as the six wheels of families. The supreme and swift path, I will clearly explain its ripening. The master who possesses all the qualities spoken of in the tantras, leads the worthy disciples into this mandala. From the text: 'In the drawn symbolic mandala, bestow the outer empowerment and teach the generation stage.' That is, relying solely on the outer mandala, bestow the common outer empowerment and perfect the samadhi. And: 'The master with perfect samadhi, together with the consort, ripens the disciples.' That is, relying on the inner samadhi mandala, bestow all the profound empowerments. And: 'Relying solely on the mandala of the body, bestowing the empowerment of samadhi, this empowerment is superior to other empowerments.' That is, relying solely on the vajra master's body mandala, bestow all the empowerments of samadhi, which are the three transformations corresponding to the order of faculties in one empowerment text. However, the tradition of the two great treasure revealers is to arrange the symbolic empowerment substances as mere supports, and to bestow the empowerment in the body mandala according to the clear text. Therefore, here too, it will be done in this way. It is divided into three parts: preparation, main part, and conclusion. The first has two parts: preparing the supports for the empowerment, and accomplishing the mandala for the purpose of the empowerment. The first is: In a secluded place, decorate the support and ornaments as appropriate. In the center of the raised platform, place a mandala of colored powders or painted cloth, or if not available, moisten a mandala plate with fragrant water and place one heap of white mustard seeds in the center and four heaps in the four directions, in two layers. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Steadfastly contemplate the wheel of samsara and nirvana, and clearly state the intention. Offer and gather flowers, and clearly state the aspiration. The special guidance is: what is to be heard, in general, all of the Mantra Vehicle mainly demonstrates conduct, divided into Kriya Tantra; mainly demonstrates view, divided into Yoga Tantra. The latter is further divided into Pure Yoga and Anuttara Yoga. In the ancient Nyingma school, Anuttara Yoga mainly demonstrates the three—Generation Stage, Completion Stage, and Great Perfection—in Tibetan language, therefore it is divided into Maha Yoga, Anu Yoga, and Ati Yoga. Each of these is further divided: Maha Yoga, mainly practicing the skillful means of the Generation Stage and the Completion Stage of the winds with signs; Anu Yoga, with less Generation Stage, mainly demonstrating the Wisdom Completion Stage and the path of Bindu; Ati Yoga, integrating the Generation Stage and Completion Stage, mainly practicing non-conceptual and clear light wisdom. Each of these three has its emphasis. Here, in the Generation Stage of Maha Yoga, among the eighteen great Tantras, in the five root great Tantras—Body, Speech, Mind, Qualities, and Activity Tantras—like the Anu Yoga of Maha Yoga, practice the Mandala of the Body Tantra, the 'Buddha Samyoga Tantra' (Sanskrit: Buddha Samyoga Tantra, meaning: Buddha Union Tantra). Regarding this Mandala, Acarya Kukuraja actually demonstrated eight Mandalas, namely six different Buddha families, plus one collective family and one main deity collective. The collective family Mandala is widely known in the Nyingma Kama (Tibetan: bka' ma, meaning: oral transmission) lineage, while this is the main deity collective. Although the maturation and liberation (Tibetan: smin grol) of each Tantra is independent and autonomous, and has not appeared in Terma (Tibetan: gter ma, meaning: treasure teachings) before, in this profound Terma, represented by the Sutra and Illusion sections, the independence of the Tantra and ritual has not been lost, as rare and wonderful as the Udumbara flower. Among them, the maturation and liberation of the 'Samyoga Tantra', and the related rituals, are particularly excellent Dharma. This is the emanation of Padmasambhava, the great Terton Chogyur Dechen Zhikpo Lingpa (Tibetan: mchog gyur bde chen zhig po gling pas), who tames beings, extracted from the meditation retreat of Dewa Chenpo (Tibetan: bde ba chen po, meaning: Great Bliss) in Rudam (Tibetan: ru dam) Snow Mountain, the chief of the five great merit places of Dokham (Tibetan: mdo khams). Generally speaking, in the lineage of this Terma, there are the extensive Dharma—the Shitalavana Secret Supreme Bliss Mandala; the medium Dharma—the sixty-four Heruka (Sanskrit: Heruka, meaning: Blood Drinker) Vow Sea Mandala; and the concise Dharma—the Heruka Heart Essence Mandala. Now, what is to be performed is the empowerment and practice of the main deity collective Heart Essence Mandala of the auspicious Samantabhadra, the equality and union of all Buddhas, so guide everyone to offer the Mandala. There was no before... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
