Dispelling the Darkness of Doubt 23-39 ༄༅། །Dispelling the Darkness of Doubt. Dispelling the Darkness of Doubt. Namo Gurave. Coming from Taglung Tang of the Phagdu Kagyu, it is said to be the teachings of the Sixth Shamarpa Chökyi Wangchuk. If one examines the meaning and words of this, it seems unlike that venerable one. This is because the incarnate body is generally inconceivable, and not like a hidden yogi. From a young age, he was extremely diligent in his studies, and spent his life observing, listening, speaking, and conversing. He was renowned for his three activities of teaching, debating, and writing. However, the document cited here as the basis for debating with Indians, apart from the deliberately fabricated, difficult-to-understand, and vague words, the vocabulary is not grand, and the writing style is not good. More specifically, there seem to be many errors arising from a lack of understanding of the content being expressed. The current topic is the classification of non-Buddhist philosophical schools. In the field of logic translated into Tibetan, the Tibetan teachers have explained those previously cited from various schools based on their own ideas, because they have no knowledge of the non-Buddhists' own views and experiences. Even in the classifications of philosophical schools made by great scholars such as Drakpa Sherab, although they speak as if they are comfortable in their own monasteries, there are many empty statements that do not exist in India at all. Here, although I am not of great wisdom, I have debated with many people who have non-Buddhist knowledge, and I have seen various treatises, so I have some knowledge of various aspects. Therefore, I will briefly state them here. Generally, there were materialists in India in the past, but they no longer exist today. For the time being, I will not discuss those extremely radical philosophical proponents. Others who do not accept the Vedas, do not worship Ishvara and Vishnu, and do not mix with other schools are the Naked Ones or the Jains. This still has a foothold today, called the Svetambara and Digambara sects of Jainism, and will not come to Tibet. There are six views that follow the Vedas: Samkhya, two types of immersionists, two types of Vaisheshika and Nyaya, Mimamsa, and Vedanta. Two called Mimamsa have appeared, the old one.
