Collected Teachings of Master Tāranātha JT459: A Well-Spoken Account of the Wonders of Upper, Lower, and Middle Myangyul (mnyang yul): An Entrance for the Wise. 22-5 ༄༅། །A Well-Spoken Account of the Wonders of Upper, Lower, and Middle Myangyul (mnyang yul): An Entrance for the Wise. ༄། །Explanation of the etymology of the sound and meaning of "tasting." ༄༅། །A Well-Spoken Account of the Wonders of Upper, Lower, and Middle Myangyul (mnyang yul): An Entrance for the Wise. ༄༅། །Śrīyasi. From the smiling face of the two accumulations, like dense clouds, A rain of the nectar of good birth and immortality, Dispelling the suffering of beings wandering in samsara, The holy medicine water, Victorious One, the Buddha. With the glorious light of his loving moon, The image of liberation from samsara arises from the power of the three realms, The noble and supreme land, the wondrous realm of snow mountains, The essence of the earth, the story of Myangyul (mnyang yul) like a heavenly abode. In the vast Dharma, the nature of all that is knowable, 1 (Adorned with the marvel of concise expression based on a single foundation.) The youthful beauty of boundless wealth, This necklace that touches the heart of the beloved, Who but the discerning wise would rely on? Even the tiny constellations on the clear and vast surface, Competing with the glory of the sun and moon, act hypocritically, Discernment, which should have its own splendor, is devoid of brilliance, Yet it boasts and appears on the shoulders of the eastern mountains. The eyes of the wise of the past are like lotuses, 2 (Adorned with the marvel of figurative comparison.) The vast and well-spoken hundred petals are like the fly-whisk of the gods, Not just smiling, but the ocean of nectar in the hearts of the wise grows and competes with it. At the end of the place of vast learning and knowledge, Not just a name called "seed," but with the three analyses, The pure wealth of wisdom is extremely rich, Yet beings of the degenerate age do not know and wander among fools. Therefore, the lineage of the holy Myangyul (mnyang yul), The root of the teachings that arose in the past and those who hold it, The wondrous creations of body, speech, and mind supports, Having abandoned fabrication, from the water treasury of wisdom, The jewel of well-spoken words arises to fulfill the wishes of the mind, but what benefit is there to the crooked? Abandoning stainless wisdom is the aim of the mind, If there is a multitude of contradictions, errors, omissions, and faults, I ask the noble and wise for forgiveness, with pure intention, Judging the good and bad of clothing.

Here I record this. The supreme deeds of the holy are beautifully bound with a crown. The heart of the central region of Tibet, the root of the wish-fulfilling tree that grants all desires, not relying on others. Like extracting the essence of the vast earth, the nectar congeals into the essence of the earth. Nyangto (now the Shigatse area of Tibet) is the source of wisdom, a region endowed with the glory of divine and human laws. Only virtuous and wise people, wholeheartedly virtuous, tending towards the ten virtuous paths, become an immortal city. In this land, a staircase of pure white crystal is erected, filled with sentient beings of wisdom who are good at climbing. Named Puhawogang Sang. The father is the Yaksha king Gangwa Sangpo, and the son is Norbu Sangpo residing there. Arrow quiver, books, handles, face-up land, possessing what kind of good and bad landforms. After establishing monasteries and sanghas in the past. The way in which the root teachings of welfare flourished greatly, and the wise who attained siddhis were born, and blessed the land with their footprints, built many statues and scriptures, laid the foundation for higher realms and definite goodness, etc. I have recorded what I know in my heart. First, the holy person who blessed the land spoke of the meaning of the word "Lajia," which is called the Chinese transliteration, which means tasting the taste. 22-7 Describing the greatness and desires of the place, and the way in which the special people who hold the place appear in order, there are three aspects. The first aspect is: the great mountain where vultures gather. In Tibet, it is called the great mountain where desires gather. At the top of this mountain, Guru Padmasambhava went with twenty-five disciples and blessed all the lands. At that time, the lord of the gods, Indra, came with a crystal bottle filled with nectar, offered the nectar bottle to Guru Padmasambhava, and requested to taste the taste of the nectar of the gods. Guru Padmasambhava blessed the nectar bottle to be inexhaustible. All twenty-five disciples received the nectar from the bottle. The master said: Good son, you should taste the taste of the nectar of the gods. Therefore, this place is named "Nyang" because it tastes the nectar of the gods. After that, the gods
