The distinction between the major and minor empowerments and instructions of the Wisdom Dakini Niguma, and the preliminary practices that precede them, divided into ten and five categories. The distinction between the major and minor empowerments and instructions of the Wisdom Dakini Niguma, and the preliminary practices that precede them, divided into ten and five categories. Of the major and minor empowerments and instructions of the Wisdom Dakini Niguma, the preliminary practices divided into ten and five are presented. Namo Guru. To explain the division into ten and five preliminary practices that are closely needed for the major and minor empowerments and instructions transmitted from the Wisdom Dakini Niguma. The ten preliminary practices are: adjusting the intention, taking refuge and generating bodhicitta, generating joy, then making requests, granting permission, advising to listen, performing the five branches, taking vows, proclaiming the secret, and descending wisdom. Here, adjusting the intention is made a branch, and there are also cases where taking refuge and generating bodhicitta are counted separately to make ten, but the meaning is the same. In some old texts, without generating joy, praise and proclaiming the secret are done separately. Here, according to the text of Drogon Sangye Tonpa, the first is adjusting the intention: Now, we have obtained the precious human body of leisure and opportunity, which is difficult to obtain. At this time of encountering the precious Buddha's teachings, which are difficult to encounter, especially the profound Mantrayana vehicle, if we strive in Dharma, it is not difficult to accomplish even the unsurpassed Buddhahood. What need is there to mention other worldly and transworldly perfections? However, if we do not strive in Dharma now, it will be difficult to obtain even just a human body later. If we do not obtain a human body, there is no opportunity to practice Dharma. If we do not practice Dharma, it is impossible to be liberated from the suffering of samsara. It is also not beneficial to obtain a human body just once, we will definitely die, we will die quickly, we cannot be sure when we will die, and death is of no benefit to anyone. If we die and go without refuge, only we will know. Even if we are separated from all the enemies, friends, enjoyments, and appearances of this life, the mind will not go without refuge. We do not want to abandon the sins we have committed in the past, like the enjoyments of this life, and leave them behind. Due to the power of karma, any of the six realms

Indeed, there is nothing worse than being born. Wherever one is born, it is only the nature of suffering. Suffering is also endless and difficult to escape, like an ocean. Therefore, one must be liberated. Do not think that it is enough for oneself to be liberated alone, but make the aspiration that all sentient beings be liberated. Thus it is said. Second, the refuge and the generation of bodhicitta, two types. The refuge is: All the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas abiding in the ten directions, please heed me. Teacher, please heed me. I, named so-and-so, from this time onwards, until I reach the essence of enlightenment, take refuge in the Buddhas, the supreme of the two-legged beings. I take refuge in the Dharma, the supreme of those who are free from desire, the peaceful Nirvana. I take refuge in the Sangha, the supreme of the assemblies, the irreversible noble Bodhisattva Sangha. Thus, recite three times. Second, there are two types of bodhicitta. The aspiration bodhicitta is: All the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas abiding in the ten directions, please heed me. Teacher, please heed me. I, named so-and-so, from beginningless time until now, the nature of generosity, the nature of ethics, the nature of meditation, 20-286 of the roots of virtue. Just as the Buddhas, Arhats, Perfectly Awakened Ones of the past, and the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas who dwell on the great earth, how they generated the precious mind of enlightenment, so too, I, named so-and-so, from this time onwards, until I reach the essence of enlightenment, generate the most supreme mind of enlightenment. Those sentient beings who have not been liberated, I will liberate. Those who have not been freed, I will free. Those who have not breathed, I will cause to breathe. Those who have not completely passed beyond suffering, I will cause to completely pass beyond suffering. Thus, recite three times. Second, the entering bodhicitta is: Requesting attention as before. I, named so-and-so, from this time onwards, until I reach the essence of enlightenment, the generosity of
