《Great Seal Gauma's Self-Arising Three Categories》 20-272 ༄༅། །《Great Seal Gauma's Self-Arising Three Categories》 ༄། །Preliminary Self-Arising Three Categories. ༈ Instructions on Tranquility. ༄༅། །《Great Seal Gauma's Self-Arising Three Categories》 ༄༅། །Namo Guruve (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思:Homage to the Guru). The Great Seal Gauma's Self-Arising Three Categories, this oral instruction of the Wisdom Dakini Niguma, the preliminary instructions are the difficulty of finding leisure and endowment, impermanence, suffering, etc., are the same as the common Dharma. Refuge, Bodhicitta, and the A-syllable empty sphere are the same as the Six Dharmas of Niguma. The common preliminary practice of Guru Yoga, more mandala offerings than other illusory bodies, etc. Please grant the release of the mind that clings to self! Please cause the meaningless to arise in the continuum! Please cause the realization of the Clear Light Great Seal! This is the special Dharma. The actual instructions: the preliminary self-arising three categories, the actual four faults self-liberated, the subsequent three bodies self-manifested instructions. First, the instructions on tranquility and the instructions on insight. First, the basis of focus and the removal. First, since all the actions of the three doors have been abandoned as meaningless, from now on, unless a little stability has arisen in meditation, not to mention non-virtue and unspecified, even virtuous actions with elaboration should be relaxed. The body in the seven postures of Vairochana. After eliminating verbal actions three times, not to mention speaking, even the self-arising of abandoning even just holding and drawing in the breath. The mind is not fabricated, relaxed and released. One session of focus. When various thoughts arise, recognize that they are born on the path, and place them on the cessation of thoughts. Two sessions of focus. When flowing downwards and spreading like a flood, whenever you remember, from now on, make a firm resolution not to do such things. Thinking that once thoughts arise, you should remember and recognize them, and in this way you can eliminate them. Three sessions of focus. At that time, awareness becomes unclear, and forgetfulness also increases, which is the fault of sinking. Tighten awareness, fix your gaze, and meditate in a white space or on the roof, etc. When sinking, interrupt the thoughts and stand up, etc. Also, if you feel agitated and your body stiffens, this is excitement, so relax.

Relax. Lower the perspective. If the mind is distracted by attachment to desirable qualities, one should develop aversion to impermanence and suffering, this is the fourth point of focus. Second, to train in indeterminate perspectives, to train in various religious practices, and to combine them with various modes of conduct. First: The eye's perspective, high up like a nearby rooftop and far away like a mountain peak or the sky, maintain equanimity, this is the fifth point of focus. Low down like a nearby wall or far away like a mountainside, maintain equanimity, this is the sixth point of focus. Straight ahead like a nearby wall or far away like a mountain range, maintain equanimity, this is the seventh point of focus. Second: Reciting sutras, reciting mantras, combining with various conversations means, first combine with well-versed recitations of sutras etc., gradually combine with all recitations, do as much as possible, this is the eighth point of focus. First combine with short mantras, then combine with all recitations, this is the ninth point of focus. First combine with sounds such as water, then combine with the noise of many people and closing doors etc., then combine with other people speaking, be amazed by those clear sounds, remain focused, this is the tenth point of focus. Third, train in various modes of conduct: Even when eating, eat in a natural state. Even when walking, practice in the same way. Even when speaking, maintain a natural state, do not deviate. First, without forcing, practice on less important things, and eventually you will master everything. Similarly, for happiness and suffering, liking and disliking, fear, shyness, shame, disgust, etc., all objects that give rise to high and low thoughts, practice mixing them in a natural state. Everything will also enter the state of virtuous practice as before, this is the eleventh point of focus. Thus, calm abiding has eleven points of focus. The excellent Vipassanā instruction. Second, the Vipassanā instruction, searching for the mind. If explained in detail according to the oral tradition of the lama, then first, as before, take the three natural states as the key points, and search in a relaxed state, this is the preliminary for all practices. The main practice has seven points of focus: searching for the nature of the mind, searching for arising and ceasing, searching for the appearance of objects, searching for thoughts, searching for the difference between the existence and non-existence of objects, searching for the existence and non-existence of thoughts.
