They consider it to be cleared and manifested. The twenty-first (view). 18-189 In order to repeat those different views, "the former" is used as a way to introduce the topic, and "the latter" is used as a way to establish the tenet. Therefore, in the case of the first view, the order of arrangement is applied to the following views as well. However, this is not the chronological order in which the founders of the schools appeared. The reason why so many temporary differences in views arise is that they mostly originate from one root. So, what is that one? Panchen Shakya's namesake considers that non-dual wisdom is not singular, but has many forms, and is impermanent, not abiding for a moment. The omniscient Jonangpa, however, asserts that it is certain that it is neither one nor many in reality. But on a temporary level, he considers the establishment of the singular to be reasonable, and considers it to be permanent, indivisible, all-pervasive, free from elaboration, and inexpressible. In short, the difference lies in considering impermanence and permanence. They both agree that the dharmadhatu is beyond words and concepts, and that non-conceptual wisdom is the object of non-erroneousness. Therefore, there is no difference in the ultimate key point. Therefore, the great Jonangpa knew that, because it is indivisible and because it is all-pervasive, the nature of reality is the same for all sentient beings, the environment and its inhabitants, and the three bases, paths, and results. For that reason, the Sugata-garbha is endowed with all qualities. And for that reason, it is not harmed by reasoning such as dependent origination and being free from one or many, so it can be analyzed. Because of this, the uncommon tenet of the Prasangika-Svatantrika schools, which claims that it is destroyed by analysis, is wrong. Therefore, the Prasangika-Svatantrika view is impure. And therefore, it can be known through reasoning that it does not contradict the intention of the intermediate turning of the wheel, etc. The Sutra Ornament teaches the one vehicle, and this view, which prevents the cutting off of the lineage of the ultimate, is the one difference mentioned earlier, which does not rely on itself, but on the previous key points. 18-190 Therefore, by holding this ultimate definitive tenet, one will hold the secret treasury of the minds of all the Buddhas of the three times.

Oh, when the great Mahayana Buddhists proclaim this true lion's roar, all the fortunate five-faced ascetics of that time rejoiced. But later, all the foxes of inferior fortune were terrified, saying, 'Why is the profound Dharma not a realm of speculation? Why would knowledge of the profound meaning be liberated?' As it is said, they were frightened. Later, the Sakya, Gelug, and Kagyu, the Shalu and Buton, and some Nyingmapas, upon hearing this doctrine, were heartbroken and their minds became dizzy. Intoxicated by wrong views, they uttered slanders and seemingly logical fallacies out of ignorance, becoming noisy. However, for some who have good fortune for the profound meaning, if the wise examine it properly, they will not be frightened by this Dharma. It seems that even in this degenerate age, there will be those who attain the three kinds of faith in this way. That is to say, here, the true permanence is not the permanence that merely negates impermanence, nor is it the permanence of non-entity. It is also not the constant permanence, the conditioned permanence. Nor is it the permanent entity that the Tirthikas believe in, which does not exist in the knowable. Nor is it the permanence of negation, merely a generality. Nor is it asserting a self-existent permanence. This is free from elaboration, it is the immutable Dharmadhatu that is liberated from both the impermanence that establishes entities and the permanence that negates non-entities. It is liberated from the characteristics of permanence, and also liberated from the elaborations of permanence 18-191, but because it is immutable, it is only permanence. So, since it is liberated from the characteristics and elaborations of impermanence, why would it not become impermanent? If that nature had a stable aspect of change, that would be true, but since it does not, the distinction of establishing it as impermanent is not made. Because it is free from the elaborations of permanence and impermanence. It is not the permanence of elaboration, nor is it the impermanence of elaboration. But since there is no impermanence free from elaboration, it is not like that. What is called permanence free from elaboration is the secret meaning of all the profound heart sutras, the most secret of all the intentions of the Victorious Ones. One who has good wisdom and merit, and is endowed with the supreme power of blessings, will gain faith in this. It is not enough to merely think oneself wise. Profound
