For example, a vase. 18-178 From the perspective of lacking inherent existence, it is also accepted that a vase is emptiness. However, the conventional vase, its own aspect, is not considered emptiness, because there are faults such as the two truths becoming one. The proponents of other-emptiness (gzhan stong) do not assert that emptiness is all-pervasive with respect to the ultimate truth. The imputed nature (kun brtag) is emptiness of non-existence, the dependent nature (gzhan dbang) is emptiness of existence, and the thoroughly established nature (yongs grub) is considered emptiness of inherent nature. Therefore, they assert that if the basis is established, then there is the pervasion of being emptiness. Thus, proponents of self-emptiness (rang stong) do not assert the pervasion that if the basis is established, then it is emptiness. They believe that emptiness is the sole ultimate truth, and if it is self-emptiness, then it is pervasive as the mere expanse free from elaboration. The proponents of other-emptiness are the opposite of this. They establish the main aspect of ultimate emptiness from the perspective of wisdom. That ultimate expanse is free from one and many, and transcends the path of reasoning. It is not the same as conventional phenomena, so reasoning does not harm it. Because conventional unreal phenomena are non-existent in essence, and real things are contained by time and direction, reasoning can engage with them. However, non-dual wisdom is not contained by direction and time, so reasoning cannot engage with it. Because that wisdom can be divided into many moments, and analyzing the beginning, middle, and end of that moment, etc., is because that wisdom is beyond time. Because it does not have any of the three times, its moments, etc., are impossible for knowable objects. The root of that awareness is emptiness, and similarly, they do not consider the ultimate to be dependent arising either. Therefore, for consciousness, there are consciousness and wisdom; for awareness, there are self-awareness and other-awareness; for emptiness, there are self-emptiness and other-emptiness; for phenomena, there are entities and suchness, etc. After distinguishing them in detail, they believe that all appearances are mind, and they consider the form body to be included in the appearances of others to be trained, and not the Buddha. Not only do they consider the mind free from elaboration to be the cause of the Buddha, but also because the clarity of the mind is unceasing, all the qualities of the Buddha abide in the nature of indivisibility, therefore, in the mindstream of sentient beings, the qualities of the Buddha, adorned with the signs and examples, complete clarity, and sixty-two qualities, exist in an indivisible manner, existing through the door of manifestation and new attainment.

Unwillingly, merely ordinary sentient beings, There is no fault of becoming a Buddha. Because the nature of sentient beings is Buddha, and, It is considered that the luminosity of that nature, distinguished by non-elaboration, is not extinguished, and here it is also established by the sutra's statement of the continuous stream of uncontaminated mind. Both sentient beings and Buddhas are established on the continuum of mind. Form and consciousness are not an aggregate, because, in reality, form and consciousness being an aggregate and such things are impossible. Therefore, these and so on are the essence of the Shentong doctrine, the three truths of suffering and origin and path are conventional, conditioned, and unreal. Cessation is ultimate, unconditioned, and truly established, named the path truth of the Buddha's mind stream. Cessation is inseparable from the truth, therefore it is ultimate and unconditioned, and such cessation is not established as emptiness like space, but as great self-awareness, therefore the nature of the truth of suffering is the truth of cessation, and the nature of the truth of origin is the truth of the path, and it is also said that cessation and path are inseparable in essence of abandonment and realization. I am not biased towards one side, I think these are very suitable for the definitive meaning. Among the Madhyamaka of self-emptiness, it is also thought that the Yogachara Madhyamaka is particularly suitable for the definitive meaning, and the intention of the tantras of Anuttarayoga is also Shentong clarity 18-180 Moreover, self-emptiness only sees leaning towards this side of Yogachara Madhyamaka. Writing some clear and easy-to-understand words about the difference between self-emptiness and other-emptiness, that's all for now. This was offered by Tāranātha. The great Vajradhara Lama Jampa Ngawang requested it. Good! One proofreading completed. Table of Contents The differentiation of the two ways, called the entrance to the definitive meaning, a concise, clear, pure, and complete existence.
