The Body of Contemplation Having arranged the three channels and wheels in a manner similar to the four common practices, in the navel, visualize the letter A (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal meaning: A) with its sound, its color red, and its touch hot. As previously explained, engage in the vase-like union, from which a fire blazes intensely, passing through the central channel. It pervades the seventy-two thousand channels. All of their bodhicitta gathers at the crown of the head. Passing through the path of the central channel, it dissolves into the navel. Contemplate that the suffering of the fire subsides and is pervaded by bliss. Always meditate on that. The second is, from the tantra: One's own mantra Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hūṃ) and the letter Oṃ (Tibetan: ༀ, Devanagari: ॐ, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, Literal meaning: Oṃ), the vajra letter Ā (Tibetan: ཨཱ, Devanagari: आ, Romanized Sanskrit: ā, Literal meaning: Ā) should be contemplated. When the very nature of wind is well accomplished, it transforms into the speech of a fierce wanderer. Thus it is said. As before, in the clear navel, in the center of an eight-petaled red utpala flower, on a moon disc, the blue letter Tāṃ (Tibetan: ཏཱཾ, Devanagari: ताँ, Romanized Sanskrit: tāṃ, Literal meaning: Tāṃ) radiating various lights, and above that, a subtle bindu possessing the sound of Ā (Tibetan: ཨཱ, Devanagari: आ, Romanized Sanskrit: ā, Literal meaning: Ā). When the wind goes out, from that Tāṃ (Tibetan: ཏཱཾ, Devanagari: ताँ, Romanized Sanskrit: tāṃ, Literal meaning: Tāṃ), the essence of wind, a red light sphere possessing the sound of Oṃ (Tibetan: ༀ, Devanagari: ॐ, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, Literal meaning: Oṃ), with a buzzing sound like a bee, passes through the central channel. From the crown of the head and then gradually through the path of the eyebrows, it goes. It exits from the nostrils. It pervades all the realms of the ten directions. All the essences of the containers and contents transform into the nature of nectar. That light sphere gathers and lifts them up with itself. Like a bee, it comes inside through the previous path, accompanied by the sound of Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hūṃ). From that, an immeasurable collection of nectar arises and dissolves into the Tāṃ (Tibetan: ཏཱཾ, Devanagari: ताँ, Romanized Sanskrit: tāṃ, Literal meaning: Tāṃ). Just as a bee makes a subtle sound and circles in the center of a flower, contemplate that the bindu of Tāṃ (Tibetan: ཏཱཾ, Devanagari: ताँ, Romanized Sanskrit: tāṃ, Literal meaning: Tāṃ) abides in the sound of Ā (Tibetan: ཨཱ, Devanagari: आ, Romanized Sanskrit: ā, Literal meaning: Ā). For this, the union of wind is diligently applied in the kumbhaka position. The third is, from the tantra: The five-colored rays reside in the heart. The lotus distinguishes the vajra well. The bindu becomes the vajra nature. One becomes the king of all-pervading wisdom. Thus it is said. For this also, establish the basis as before. In the center of the Dharma wheel in the heart, in the center of the union of the sun and moon, always contemplate a bindu the size of a mustard seed radiating five-colored rays. Mixing the life force and downward-moving air, draw it to the heart. Having stabilized the vase-like union in the heart, when one becomes slightly accustomed to this, it is the channel called the Narayana-sika of wisdom.

First, the wheel of blissful protection, then the emanation, and the wheel of great bliss, Having completely liberated, it is able to split open the egg of ignorance in the heart. Therefore, it will touch the supreme clear light. The guru's oral instructions can make the vase in the heart slightly stable. Although a mantra called Apana Bhanja Lower Air Bottle) was shown, it is not recorded here because it appears as a rough practice. In this way, combining all the stages of completion with the three practices, one can approach the supreme accomplishment. Countless good deeds, accompanied by the wind steed, freely playing on the red horse of the beauty of the Hari Chandan forest! O discerning one, who dispels the suffering of the mind, with the supreme youth of desire and joy, you are the iron hook of the heart of the auspicious joyful woman. In the water sea of all three realms of existence, the venerable guru who is always skilled at placing the immaculate toenail moon, may the white light of your speech spread everywhere, causing the wonderful lotus to bloom with the auspicious and prosperous Gesar youth. Whatever this is, with the wisdom petals blooming with profound meaning, the source of honey, the bright eyes of those who desire liberation, Who can prevent the nature of possessing qualities, which is always worn as an ornament on the head and ears? The lord of men who holds the power of the lineage mantra, in order to fully encourage, initiates the unprecedented, tradition of the path. May the merit that Taranatha has slightly spoken about also be dedicated to all sentient beings. This was also composed at the age of twenty-seven in the palace of Gongkar (Gangga Town) in Yoru (present-day Doilungdêqên District, Lhasa). May goodness increase! Checked and finalized! Auspicious! By this merit that I have accumulated, may all sentient beings be happy and joyful, and may it become the supreme, incomparable collection of causes for increasing temporary and ultimate benefit and happiness. This dedication of merit was written by Mati.
