In Sanskrit: Pañca Śloka, In Tibetan: Chapter Five. Homage to glorious Heruka! Because the water is exhausted, the lotus in the mud withers. Because the honey has fled, there is no knowing where it has gone. The roots, leaves, stems, and branches are consumed by the combination of fire. O you who look within, behold the laughter of the senses! Eating, drinking, and dwelling, breaking branches and departing. Alas! Here, my actions are like the violent ones. Like winter frost, burning the lotus. A hundred virtues are exhausted by a single fault. Because the ocean is exhausted, the lotuses also wither. At that time, from the ten gates, smoke arises. The worldly ones say, "There is no black." The black one dwells in the deep forest of the Great Vehicle. The mind is empty and complete in its primordial state. Even when the aggregates become laughter, there is no regret. Butter is in milk, but it is not seen. Desire is present, but it is not seen by the worldly ones. There is neither life nor death in the world. Such is the enjoyment of the black yogi. Even though the body withers like a lotus, Why is the black one said to be dead? The verses composed by the ascetic practitioner, the black teacher, are complete. The self-explanation made by the Lord of Yoga, Śrī Vairocana. The deeds of the teacher, the black practitioner. The meaning of this title is translated as: Śloka is a verse, Pañca Kaṃ is the fifth, the meaning of the thing Kaṃ is abbreviated by a compound word, and the name of the number is placed before it. Homage to Heruka, which is in the original Indian text, is not added by the translator. This Doha song is by the teacher, the black practitioner, who possesses the liberation like an illusion. When, for the sake of future sentient beings, he shows the fault of pride and the sin of abandoning the teacher's command, for the sake of showing, in the midst of the seventy-two male and female yogis who have attained power, he shows the manner of abandoning the ripened body. Then, on the fifth day, when he began to cremate the remains, he gave swords and other eighty-four attainments. The eighty-four original siddhas also came with their retinues, without knowing from where.

I, having drawn a mandala in space, placed the remains in the center and purified them with fire. There, because of the power of sorrow and the manifestation of magical displays, eighty-four thousand yogis came to see, and also many hundreds of thousands who arrived suddenly gathered there. At the end of the seventh day, the teacher himself appeared as before, appearing manifestly, with seven hundred umbrellas, seven hundred banners, and seven hundred visible and invisible retinues. All the yogis were amazed and came forward to greet him, and engaged in many Dharma discussions. When asked, "Where is my body?" they replied, "It has been burned." Then, he sang this sacred song and disappeared with four thousand attendants. After that, for a while, the entire eastern realm was as if filled with male and female yogi disciples. But where they went, no one knew. At the same time, in the western regions such as Maru, he appeared manifestly with a body endowed with six mudras, traveling through all the places, teaching the Dharma to many people, and so on, and stayed there for a long time. In the southern regions such as Karṇa, he attained the highest accomplishment in the bardo, entered the previous body, and saying, "This is that body," did things for the benefit of sentient beings for many months. In some places, he entered the previous body, regretting that he had not reached the time of the bindu before. Now he said, "Do not practice until the time is ripe, and if the time is ripe, may the six mudras arise naturally." Then he meditated for a long time, and six ornaments arose naturally on his body. It is said that he practiced for seven days and became a rainbow body. In another place, he took birth in a Brahmin family, and was born with his body naturally adorned with bone ornaments. Before long, he grew up and practiced the remaining part of the path, and was also seen to have attained the union body. In those different places of teaching, the offerings of people gathering are still present today. ༄། །Commentary. Here, what is to be explained are the fourteen lines of the four verses, which are the teacher himself.
