Collected Teachings of Dolpopa JT177, Commentary on the Scattered Dohas of Kanha: The Blazing Wonder 10-152 ༄༅། །Commentary on the Scattered Dohas of Kanha: The Blazing Wonder ༄། །First, the song called "The Sheaf of Pataha." Commentary on the Scattered Dohas of Kanha: The Blazing Wonder ༄༅། །Homage to the Guru and the assembly of Vajra Dakinis! Clearly prophesied in the tantras, Fame equal to the extent of the sky, Unsurpassed ascetic conduct, I will explain a small part of the meaning of the Black One's words. Here, I will briefly explain the meaning of the scattered dohas by the great accomplished master, the Practitioner. First, the song called "The Sheaf of Pataha": The letters E-Vam (藏文:ཨེ་ཝཾ,梵文天城体:एवं,梵文罗马拟音:evaṃ,汉语字面意思:Thus) made stable, the two Ka (藏文:ཀ་གཉིས) themselves, Various forms pervade, bonds released. Kanha frolics, intoxicated by honey wine, Entering the spontaneously born lotus grove, becomes mindless. Just as an elephant is attached to a female elephant, So too, the other shore's cheeks flow. All six realms are naturally pure, Attachment to existence and non-existence is impure. The ten powers' jewels radiate in all ten directions, The elephant of awareness seeks out afflictions. This is to say that between every two lines, there is a letter called "dhru" in Chinese, which is generally used as a marker for the entry of a category's stem, and also as a marker for the entry of a song's melody, but here it is the former. Moreover, the word "dhru" that is in the former is mostly attached to the beginning of each of the latter. The meaning of the words is: from the perspective of the intentional language, the mind itself is adorned as the form of an elephant, and the intoxicated elephant destroys the pillar to which it is tethered, uproots trees with its trunk, is intoxicated by wine, 10-153 Entering the lotus grove and delighting in eating, being attached to a female elephant, water dripping from its cheeks, being powerful and running in all four directions, and so on. The king of the mind is fashioned into such a form: the letter E (藏文:ཨེ་,梵文天城体:ए,梵文罗马拟音:e,汉语字面意思:E) is the burning fierce fire, and the letter Vam (藏文:ཝཾ,梵文天城体:वं,梵文罗马拟音:vaṃ,汉语字面意思:Vam) is the dissolving bindu, the unchanging union letter. The power of the body of wisdom is made stable, the pillars of day and night are the naturally arising conceptual thoughts.

Destroying the eighty kinds of dualistic grasping, causing them to collapse and disappear. This is the mind being completely secluded, the body and senses being pervaded by various bonds. The trees of various coarse and subtle winds, whose roots of previously generated conceptual thoughts were firmly established, are uprooted and made empty by the power of recitation through the winds of body, speech, and mind, and by the power of the two teeth and the nose, these three. This refers to the wisdom of Vajra recitation, and this elephant of Kanhapa's mind nature. Intoxicated by the honey wine of the coming and going of Bodhicitta, it engages in various games of great desire, and although accompanied by the mud of afflictions, it is not stained by afflictions, entering the garden of coemergent lotuses, and eating the lotus roots of bliss without conceptual thought. This generally shows the conduct of great desire. The words that extend from that are, "As," etc., four lines: As the great elephant of mind's bliss is attached to the female elephant of emptiness, so that very reality, the intoxicating water of bliss-emptiness union flows on the cheeks of self-awareness. This refers to how much the wind-mind stops in the central channel, how much bliss increases, the more profound the realization of the state of self-nature emptiness, therefore the more it tends towards the meaning of the state of union. As Nagarjuna said: External objects are all untrue, devoid of self-nature. Consciousness is also like external objects, following the meaning. If there is one who truly accepts, ultimately empty and still. That is also not a capable person, saying it is the nature of emptiness. If there is a true receiver of the Dharma, and a true receiver. Both of those are nonexistent, it is said to follow emptiness. A magician performs magic, a wise person sees it as such. The Teacher Shakyamuni quoted with generosity, saying: That meaning of reality is also not mere emptiness, although the reality of things does not exist, the magician of great bliss, the only reality that appears in all ways. Therefore, all six kinds of beings completely abide in the self-nature pure great bliss, in essence there is no obscuration to be removed, and no qualities to be established. That
