The Great Commentary on the Glorious Four Stages Treatise, called "The Utterly Clear Secret." (JT168-8-303) ༄༅། །The Great Commentary on the Glorious Four Stages Treatise, called "The Utterly Clear Secret." ༄། །The Actual Text. ༄༅། །The Great Commentary on the Glorious Four Stages Treatise, called "The Utterly Clear Secret." ༄༅། །Oṃ Svasti. (藏文:ༀ་སྭ་སྟི།,梵文天城体:ॐ स्वस्ति,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ svasti,汉语字面意思:Om, may there be well-being!). The explanation of the Glorious Four Stages Treatise, called "The Utterly Clear Meaning of the Secret," I prostrate to the Lama. Whose extremely difficult-to-reverse afflictions, by whose kindness are reversed and transformed in an instant, from whom limitless qualities are constantly relied upon, may the supreme Lama hold me here. The immeasurable path of the Buddhas' Dharma, the Vajra words difficult to fathom, according to the immeasurable Buddhas' intentions, even desiring to fathom them is wondrous. Clarified by the Vajra of Conduct, hidden by the Vajra-holder of Wisdom, according to the manner of the All-pervading Lord of Vajras, explained according to the words of the manifold Vajras. Thus, among the eighty-four thousand collections of Dharma, such as the Sutras spoken by the Bhagavan, the initial "Thus have I heard" and so forth are for gathering the meaning into the meaning that needs to be guided, for showing oneself as a reliable measure of a person, and for showing the five external perfections. The definitive meaning is that by showing the four stages such as the order of the Tantras, it briefly explains all the subjects to be explained of the three Pitakas and the four classes of Tantras. This is well understood from the words of the Glorious Heruka, from the oral instructions of the holy Lama, and also from the experience of the practitioner himself. In order to clarify this, this treatise called "The Four Stages" was composed. Among them (JT168-8-304) In most versions of this treatise, the name is not mentioned at the beginning. There is an extensive commentary on this treatise, written by one named Karma Vajra. In the self-translated version of the Pandit Śrīdhara, it is translated as "Āloka Catuṣṭa," meaning "Four Lamps," but the name of this treatise is "Ola Pati," which is a word derived from four languages. "Ola" means stages, and "Pati" means the number four. I prostrate to the Glorious Mañjuvajra. This is the translator's prostration. In the actual text, establishing the basis for explanation.

, and a detailed explanation of it. The first is E-vaṃ-mā-yā. E (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) is the suchness of co-emergence. Vaṃ (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) is the suchness of mind. Mā (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) is the suchness of speech. Yā (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) is the suchness of body. These were also indicated by the Buddha himself, and cannot be explained through Sanskrit or local languages. The meaning is as follows: E (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) is distinguished by the union of emptiness of all aspects, and is the bliss of self-nature. Therefore, it is a way of establishing non-duality of bliss and emptiness. The syllable Vaṃ (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) is the bliss experienced by one's own awareness, meditating on self-nature, or the wisdom that has never been tainted by signs or grasping from the beginning, which is the second way of establishing the union of bliss and emptiness. The syllable Mā (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) is the inexpressible wisdom whose essence transcends the realm of sound and thought, and is the form that appears simultaneously in all sounds of samsara and nirvana. The syllable Yā (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) is that very wisdom of bliss and emptiness, which, while not moving from the state of non-elaboration, reflects the images of all samsara and nirvana. These four are only distinguished by the aspects of characteristics, but there is no difference in essence. A single wisdom possesses all these characteristics, and it is the Dharmadhatu, emptiness, suchness, non-elaboration, ultimate truth, Prajnaparamita, self-nature co-emergence, Svabhavikakaya, and Dharmakaya, which encompasses the three: ground, path, and result, and pervades all stable and moving things equally. As it is said in the "Essence Condensed": "E (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) is called the Tathagatagarbha, which dwells in all sentient beings, and is said to be the bliss of co-emergence, it appears in all appearances. The syllable Vaṃ (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思), wherever it is spoken, is fully known and personally experienced, without a grasper or a grasped object, it transcends existence and non-existence. The syllable Mā (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) that is spoken after that, is equal to the sky, and is said to be the suchness of sound, combined with various languages. Then, from that again and again, like Indra's net, forms appear, with the nature of no self-nature, this must also be abandoned from that. Co-emergence is the first, from that secret.
