Deciding through the three qualifications: The lama reveals it in the mind through the three aspects of scripture, reasoning, and oral instruction. It is also said in the tantra: "The three realms are not the subtle particles, but the consciousness." As it is said. Arranging this analogy on the ten signs of luminosity, the appearance of the mind is merely born from one's own mind, like the reflection in a mirror. As it is said, just as one experiences it oneself, all appearances of objects are decided as mind through the three aspects of faith in the lama, the tantra, and oneself. This is the first part, the introduction. The second point is to introduce the emptiness of the nature of mind. The scriptural authority is from the "Precious Heap Sutra, Question of Kashyapa" spoken by the noble Kashyapa: "Therefore, search thoroughly for the mind. What is the nature of desire, hatred, and ignorance? Is it something that arises in the future, past, or present? In that case, the past mind has ceased, the future mind has not yet come, and the present mind has no abiding place. Kashyapa, the mind is not inside, nor is it outside, nor is it perceived as being other than both." As it is said. Reasoning is explained in terms of understanding the path of reasoning. Generally, it is based on the reasoning that establishes all conventional truths as unreal, and especially on the reasoning that establishes the mind as emptiness, to generate certainty. If one only believes in the essence, then according to the meaning of the sutra quoted above, the momentary awareness is divided into three aspects: arising, abiding, and ceasing. By searching, the past has already ceased and does not exist; the future has not yet arisen and does not exist; even when analyzing the present, there is no present apart from the past and future. Furthermore, the mind does not abide in the inner sense faculties, nor does it abide in the outer objects, nor does it abide in between the two. It does not abide in the nature of the five outer objects and the five inner sense faculties, etc., nor does it abide elsewhere. It cannot be said that the mind exists in this way, nor can it be said that it is experienced or known in this way. It cannot be grasped as not existing in this way, and establishing it as existing depends on establishing it as non-existing, and establishing it as non-existing depends on establishing it as existing. Therefore, existence and non-existence, being and non-being, are not established in any way. Equality.

That is how to explain the profound point. Because it is not existent, the term 'non-existent' is also applied when distinguishing afterwards. It is impossible for it to be both. The basis for being neither is also impossible. Therefore, the way of emptiness of conventional reality is like that. The introduction to the experience of meditation is: Along with doing and bondage, allow awareness to rest in its natural, uncorrected state. Allow awareness to arise without obstruction—seeing, hearing, feeling, sensing, movement, thought, meditation—anything can arise. From the very moment it arises, directly point out with inward-turning wisdom what kind of place, time, location, form, and essence it is. Self and other, object and subject, matter and consciousness, experiencer and experienced, knowable and knower—all are primordially, naturally pure. Without any alteration, directly introduce how to rest and maintain their self-sufficiency. Generate certainty through the gate of possessing three kinds of faith. Some say that if this mind is not examined, it will appear in various ways. If pressed, it cannot be found, like an illusion. Introducing emptiness in this way relies on the aspect of insight, but it is easy to confuse with intellectual wisdom, so it is of little use and powerless when cutting off the pressure of conceptual thoughts. Others introduce a state of non-conceptual, thoughtless blankness as reality, but there is no need to introduce it because reality has not been seen. The King of Tantras also says, "One's own mind, when deeply absorbed in fainting and sleep, the lord of men becomes without nature. When awake, it should be made clear with nature, but these are not the path to liberation for beings." This is said. This latter statement also prevents introducing appearance itself or this very thing as reality. Therefore, the lama, through scripture, reasoning, and pith instructions, shows that all of this—mind, mental events, memory, awareness, and movement—although the appearance is uninterrupted, has never existed from the beginning. All the sutras and tantras say the same, and the King of Tantras also says, "There is no consciousness; it does not abide in any Buddha's wisdom." This statement will become an instruction for the Buddhas. One also determines through one's own experience that there is nothing to grasp. Having arrived at the naked state of clear awareness, the meaning beyond this
