Sakya Scholar's Tantric Commentary KHG15: Called 'The Immaculate Fruit' Entering the Explanation. A Commentary on the 'Namasamgiti of Manjushri': Called 'The Immaculate Fruit'. Composed by Lodro Gyaltsen. Emaho! Namo Guru! The glorious Dharma Lord of the three trainings, The glorious Dharma Lord of the complete three assemblies, The glorious Dharma Lord of the complete three meanings, To the Dharma Lord, guide of the three vehicles, I bow! The essence of all vehicles, The definitive meaning, The wisdom body, the nature of all Buddhas, The supreme wisdom, the basis of all sentient beings, To Manjushri Wisdom Hero, I prostrate! When obscured by defilements, it is sentient beings, When removing defilements, it is the stage of the path, When free from defilements, it is called Buddha, These three states of base, path, and fruit, Are well-known in all Sutras and Tantras, the definitive meaning. Mahayana, Mahamudra, Madhyamaka, Dharmakaya, Sugata, Bodhi, Wisdom, Heart Sutra, And Suchness, etc., with endless names, The Buddhas of the three times repeatedly declare, This sole ultimate wisdom, What has been said, is being said, and will be said is this very thing, What is sung in the great Guhyagarbha Tantra, What is expressed with many names, To fulfill the request of a few faithful disciples, And to increase my own faith and merit, I will explain as spoken by Avalokiteshvara. Thus, the Samadhimandalavidhi chapter, which emerges separately from the extensive root Tantra of the Guhyagarbha, which contains one hundred and sixty thousand verses, is this 'Namasamgiti of Manjushri'. The meaning of this 'Namasamgiti' is that Manjushri Wisdom Hero himself is the definitive meaning of all vehicles, the ultimate of all Sutras and Tantras, the essence of all phenomena to be expressed, the perfection of purity, self, bliss, and permanence, the nature of Vajradhara. As the Lord Avalokiteshvara said in the great commentary 'Vimalaprabha' of the Kalachakra: 'The wisdom that is separate from momentariness and non-momentariness is the Suchness of the Victorious Ones.' Thus it is said. And, that which makes sentient beings free from doubt is the 'Namasamgiti' ... Therefore, the Bhagavan truly revealed the definitive meaning of all aspects of mantra, the 'Namasamgiti', to Vajrapani, thus the mantra vehicle was truly revealed. Therefore, whoever does not know the first supreme Buddha should recite the 'Namasamgiti'. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am not skilled in correctly expressing. One who cannot correctly express the name does not know the wisdom body of Vajradhara (Holder of the Vajra). One who does not know the wisdom body of Vajradhara (Holder of the Vajra) does not know the Mantra-yana (Vehicle of Secret Mantras). One who does not know the Mantra-yana (Vehicle of Secret Mantras) is entirely a samsaric being, separated from the path of the Bhagavan Vajradhara (Holder of the Vajra). Therefore, the supreme primordial Buddha (Adi-Buddha) should be taught by the noble Gurus (teachers), and the disciples who seek liberation should listen. Thus it is said, among these paths of the Shravaka-yana (Vehicle of Hearers), Paramita-yana (Vehicle of Perfections), and Mantra-yana (Vehicle of Secret Mantras), the unchanging essence—the Bhagavan Vajradhara (Holder of the Vajra)—is taught by the Tathagata (Thus-Gone One) in the Namasangiti (The Recitation of Names). Those who do not understand this meaning, the non-noble Gurus, and those who have degenerated from the supreme unchanging wisdom, will appear in the future, and these degenerates will cause sentient beings to degenerate as well. Similarly, in the Namasangiti (The Recitation of Names), the supreme unchanging wisdom of the Bhagavan, which has become the essence of the Buddhas (Enlightened Ones) and Bodhisattvas (Enlightenment Beings), is thoroughly explained by the Tathagata (Thus-Gone One) in one hundred and sixty-two verses of supplication. Therein, from 'Then, the glorious Vajradhara (Holder of the Vajra)' onwards, up to 'Having bowed the body, sits before (him),' are sixteen verses of supplication. From 'Bhagavan Shakyamuni (Sage of the Shakyas)' onwards, up to 'Bhagavan said, 'It is good',' are six verses of reply. Again, from 'Then' onwards, up to 'Greatly seeing the great lineage crest,' are two verses of seeing the six realms. From 'Possessing six secret mantra kings' onwards, up to 'Om Ara Pa Ca Na Dhih Namah (藏文:ཨ་ར་པ་ཙ་ནཱ་ཡ་ཏེ་ན་མཿ,梵文天城体:अ र प च न द न म,梵文罗马拟音:a ra pa ca na dhih namah,汉语字面意思:啊,ra,巴,匝,纳,德,顶礼),' are three verses on the order of complete enlightenment through the Mayajala (Net of Illusion). Thus, from 'The Buddha Bhagavan' onwards, up to 'The supreme of the Mahayana path,' are fourteen verses praising the great Mandala (Circle) of the Vajradhatu (Vajra Realm). From 'The great Buddha Vairochana (Illuminator)' onwards, up to 'The great vajra hook and noose,' are verses with a deficient foot praising the wisdom of the Dharma-dhatu (Realm of Dharma), which is exceedingly pure. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
