English version Sutra: Then one will not be harmed by poison or curses, and one's lifespan will be extended. If not, one will be harmed by poison or curses, and one's lifespan will be shortened, thus resulting in accidental death. Sutra: The ninth type of accidental death is suicide by jumping off a cliff, falling from a mountain cliff. Such a person is destined to have a short lifespan because karma is the augmenting cause that causes beings to fall. If one encounters favorable conditions, such as the assistance of cultivating blessings, one will not fall off the cliff and one's lifespan will be extended. If not, one's lifespan will be shortened, thus resulting in accidental death. Sutra: This is what the Tathagata (Tathāgata, 'Thus Gone One', an epithet of the Buddha) calls the immeasurable accidental deaths. Two, Conclusion: Because there is much uncertain karma and little cultivation of blessings, it is truly difficult to fully explain all kinds of accidental deaths. Sutra: At that time, to be seated at the assembly. The fifth great general, the text of Jie Wei, is divided into three parts: one, explaining the great general; two, explaining protection; and three, explaining praise and encouragement. The first part is divided into three parts: one, generally stating the great general; two, listing their names separately; and three, explaining their retinue. This is the first part. A great general who can lead ghosts and spirits is called a great general. Sutra: So-called to Bhikala-mahāsena (Bhikala-mahāsena, name of a ghost and spirit). Two, list their names separately. This is the name of a ghost and spirit, which is the language of ghosts and spirits, and even the people of India themselves do not understand it. None of these three translators translated it. The slight differences among them are due to the different accents of the various Tripitaka (Tripiṭaka, the three baskets of Buddhist scriptures) masters. Sutra: These to be regarded as retinue. Three, explain their retinue. It refers to each of these great generals having seven thousand Yakshas (Yaksa, a type of ghost and spirit) as their retinue. Sutra: All with one voice to the fear of evil paths. Two, the text explaining protection is divided into three parts: one, receiving grace; two, taking refuge; and three, vowing to protect. This is the first part. Sutra: I now to take refuge in the Sangha (Saṃgha, the Buddhist monastic community). Two, taking refuge. These three refuges have already been explained earlier. Sutra: All should to be peaceful and happy. Three, the text of vowing to protect is divided into two parts: one, making a vow; and two, promoting and protecting. This is the first part. Those who create benefit and advantage, according to the first volume of the Yogācārabhūmi-śāstra (Yogācārabhūmi-śāstra, the Treatise on the Stages of Yoga Practice), present benefit is called 'benefit', and future benefit is called 'advantage'. Worldly benefit is called 'benefit', and transcendental benefit is called 'advantage'. The benefit of merit is called 'benefit', and the benefit of wisdom is called 'advantage'. Sutra: According to whatever to completely satisfy. Two, promoting and protecting. Aranya (Aranya) place. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

English version: It is also called Aranya (meaning a place of tranquility). Or Aranya, with the same meaning. The Yogacarabhumi-sastra, Volume 25, says: 'What is called living in Aranya?' It means living in empty and quiet mountains, forests, and fields, using bedding in remote places, and staying away from all villages and settlements. This is called living in Aranya. Question: How much is called one Aranya? The Abhidharmakosa-bhasya, Volume 12, says: Twelve fingers are one span, twenty-four fingers are one cubit, four cubits are one bow, and five hundred bows are one Aranya. It means that wherever this sutra is spread, those who uphold the name of the Tathagata (Thus Come One), and those who are close to and make offerings, we, the divine generals and our retinues, for the sake of the Dharma (law), will always protect these people, so that they may be liberated from all suffering, and all their wishes may be fulfilled. Sutra: At that time, the World Honored One praised and encouraged all sentient beings with the Threefold Understanding. At that time, the Buddha praised and encouraged the great generals, saying, 'If you remember the kindness of the Tathagata, you should think of benefiting all sentient beings.' Sutra: At that time, the Wise Life to How to uphold. The sixth part is Joyful and Pure Upholding, divided into two parts. First, Ananda asks the name of the sutra, and second, the Tathagata answers. As for the first part, it is further divided into two parts. First, asking the name of the sutra, and second, asking how to uphold it, which is a double question. 'What is the name of this sutra?' is asking the name of the sutra, and 'How to uphold it?' is asking how to uphold it. Sutra: The Buddha said to Should uphold in this way. The second part is the Tathagata's answer, divided into two parts. First, answering the name of the sutra, and second, answering how to uphold it. 'It is named the Fundamental Vows of the Medicine Buddha, the Lapis Lazuli Light Tathagata' is answering the name of the sutra, and 'Should uphold in this way' is answering how to uphold it. Sutra: At that time, the Bhagavan to Joyfully practice. The third part below explains practicing according to the teachings, hearing what the Buddha said and joyfully practicing. According to the Gaya Head Mountain Sutra and Sastra, Vasubandhu Bodhisattva explains three kinds of purity, which is why there is joy. First, the speaker is pure, explaining that the Tathagata is the All-Knowing One, universally and thoroughly speaking for all sentient beings, without the defilement of hiding the Dharma, therefore the speaker is pure. Second, the Dharma spoken is pure, explaining that the sutras and teachings spoken are in accordance with the truth, guiding accordingly, and the meaning of the sentences is beautiful, therefore the Dharma spoken is pure. Third, the receiver of the Dharma is pure, explaining that when listening to the Dharma, one is single-mindedly faithful, without arguing right and wrong, and immediately accepts and practices after hearing it.
