English version: Therefore, the recipient is pure and rejoices because he possesses the three purities. Huiguan (name of a monk) formerly came to the capital to inquire about the Dao (the Way), and experienced lecturing for more than ten years. He encountered famine during the Yongchun (era name) period and returned, relying on his staff. The old illness, suspected to be deep-seated, was unknowable. Every time he savored this scripture, he often recited and upheld it. However, being rough and shallow, he could only roughly understand the meaning of the words. Without measuring his own ignorance and shortness, he narrated what he had heard, gleaning from various books...commentary examples. How dare he transmit it to the learners?
