Another method: if you suffer from swelling, in front of a Sharira stupa, chant the mantra over pomegranate yellow and sandalwood one hundred and eight times, and apply it to the swelling for relief. English version: If a person suffers from a disease caused by ghosts or demons (being bewildered by ghosts), chant the pomegranate branch mantra one hundred and eight times and then strike the patient with the pomegranate branch, and the illness will be cured. If a person desires to be loved and cherished by a woman, chant the earth mantra twenty-one times and then scatter the earth on themselves. That woman will think of you every day, with constant and unwavering devotion. If a person desires a woman to come and respectfully serve them, constantly chant the mantra twenty-one times and then scatter ashes on themselves. That woman will think of you day and night, desiring to die for you. If she can see you, she will not be willing to leave even in death, loving you to the point of wanting to die for you. If you want a husband and wife to be far apart from each other, take japonica rice and chant the mantra twenty-one times, then scatter it on the husband and wife, and they will immediately go far away and not disturb each other. If a husband and wife hate each other and you want to reconcile them, set up an altar in front of the image of the Heavenly King (deva-raja, a celestial king). When making this contemplation, the practitioner can obtain the ability to become invisible, travel a thousand miles a day, and all undertakings can be accomplished. If you want to subdue heretics and prevent yourself from being burned by fire, take your own blood and mix it with fish blood. Recite the mantra twenty-one times (three times seven) with a wrathful mind. Throw it into the fire, and after the time it takes to eat a meal, you will not be burned by the fire. If subduing heretics, form the aforementioned body mudra, and silently recite the mantra one hundred and eight times with a wrathful mind. All the magic of all heretics will be destroyed and cannot be accomplished. If removing all illnesses caused by Vinayaka (象头神, elephant-headed deity) and other demons, burn benzoin incense with great wrathful mind, and quickly recite the mantra. Hit the patient with pomegranate seeds, then all illnesses caused by demons, heavenly plagues, and dragon plagues will naturally disappear. Also, if the patient is singing, laughing, sitting, or walking before the ritual is performed. If the powerful demon leaves, use a copper 'sara' (铜盘, copper plate) filled with water and ash flour. Sprinkle it outside the door. After burning benzoin incense and reciting the mantra one hundred and eight times, the demon will no longer come to harass.
