Shamba Kagyu Teachings NG13, Entrance to the Six Dharmas of Niguma, Source of All Qualities. Entrance to the Six Dharmas of Niguma, Source of All Qualities. Preliminary Practice. Entrance to the Six Dharmas of Niguma, Source of All Qualities. Om Swasti. This is called 'Source of All Qualities,' an entrance to the Dharma cycles of the Shangpa Kagyu. Vajradhara the Great Accomplished Yeshe Khadro (Wisdom Dakini). Kyungpo Naljor Rinchen Tsondru (Precious Diligence) and Darma Senge (Dharma Lion), Gyalwa Woser (Victorious Light), and Lachen Khampa (Great Lama Khampa), Dharma Lord Rinchenpa (Holder of Dharma), to these I take refuge with body, speech, and mind. Bless all sentient beings as vast as space. Bless me to master the path of illusory body. Bless me to realize the clear light of dreams. Bless me to cut through the bardo. Bless me to attain supreme siddhi. Here, there are three parts: preliminary practice, main practice, and concluding practice. First is the site ritual, which can be elaborate or simple as needed, similar to other rituals. If a house, duster, and altar are available, draw a complete mandala; if not, draw four mandalas. In the first, draw a double-layered white dharmodaya (source of Dharma), placing five flowers or the emblems of the five deities, or seed syllables, or bindus in the center. Surround it with black, and paint large red petals. Below that, draw four lotus petals representing the four directions, with green corners. In the third, draw a red dharmodaya, with a green fire base, and blue-green and white crescents. In the fourth, draw blue-black triangles, with a red fire base, and green crescents. Surround all of these with black. If you cannot draw a mandala, draw stone walls and flames on the outside. If you can draw a complete one, paint all the outer colors and so on, similar to drawing a mandala. Place five flowers and so on on each of the lower three. Place a qualified vase filled with essence on the second mandala, with a neck cord, decorated mouth, vajra knot, mantra thread, and conch. Place a clean and excellent torma (food offering) on the fourth mandala, with an arrow and ribbon. Arrange as many offerings and tsok (feast) implements as possible. First, offer the preliminary torma, the general dakini torma. Make offerings and invoke blessings. The action vajra (ritual implement) makes offerings to the mandala in general, and offers flowers and prayers to each individually. Recite refuge, bodhicitta, and the hundred-syllable mantra as much as possible. Visualize yourself clearly as bliss, and from the HUM (seed syllable) at your heart, radiate light, inviting the mandala of the five buddha families, who are the lords of the families of the root guru. Invite the buddhas and bodhisattvas. Request them to come and abide. Recite: OM VAJRASATTVA SAMAYA MANUPALAYA VAJRASATTVA TVENOPATISTHA DRIDHO ME BHAVA SUTOSHYO ME BHAVA SUPOSHYO ME BHAVA ANURAKTO ME BHAVA SARVA SIDDHIM ME PRAYACCHA SARVA KARMA SUCA ME CITTAM SHRIYAM KURU HUM HA HA HA HA HOH BHAGAVAN SARVA TATHAGATA VAJRA MA ME MUNCA VAJRI BHAVA MAHASAMAYASATTVA AH. After reciting, visualize the deity dissolving into yourself. This is the preliminary practice. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
